If anyone has EVER lost a loved one that had an account with Amerigas that had a REFUND from Amerigas. They do everything in the book to block or make it extremely difficult!!! I have spoken to approximately 13 representatives, sent 2 copies of certified letters with copy of a Death Certificate, letter of Executor designation and a email with attachments to Amerigas to no avail!!! I was also recommemded to be added to the Account so I tried just so I can receive the refund, just to informed that I need a letter from my deceased uncle making that request. My uncle deceased in July of 23 and it has been 8 months going on 9 months...

I received great customer care and help before I became a customer. Since becoming a customer, it usually takes me multiple attempts to get a knowledgable person to help me resolve a question or problem. I'm a bit disappointed that I switched propane companies.Update: I received a follow-up from a representative that addressed the issue I had. She was very helpful and understood my concern.

Updated-2: It would not be right to leave a 1-Star review for ANY business no matter the size. I want to make it clear that AmeriGas has resolved this issue and I am going to cautiously continue using their service. Although I am completely satisfied with the resolution - I simply cannot move my rating from a 1 to a 5. I hate how some people weaponize the 5-Star review systems such as on google, Uber, etc. and therefore try to be as objective and dispassionate as possible to help others including the business I am reviewing. I am moving my rating from a 1 to a 3 and think this is the most appropriate rating I can provide. It is my pleasure to take the time to return here and update this review since the company did reach out and after some time, make the needed adjustments. I will waive all equipment fees, delivery fees, installation fees, and the hazmat fee so all you are paying for is the cost of the propane + tax.Right now, the cost of the propane is $1.81.With all the extras taken off you are saving about $20+ a delivery.If you are interested, I can get you the paperwork today so that we can get you on the schedule.I look forward to hearing from you soon.Thank You,KarenKaren Rasgorshek"During the course of my site survey, the technician claimed, "You needed a new regulator, I had a used on in my truck so I replaced yours. You won't see any charge for that.I receive showing the only truth told was the price of propane. I was charged $99.00 for APPS/Service Dispatch and $408.62 for a used regulator.Total bill was $711.19 for 112 Gal.I sent an email to the salesperson regarding my dissatisfaction and have not received a single after the sale reply.I have talked with two other business owners in Melba that each told me I made a mistake selecting AmeriGas and made other recommendations. I plan to switch service providers at my earliest opportunity.

just started "service" and they won't answer the friggen phone. emergency department / data mining department is in Mindanao someplace. not playing the house arrest game waiting for a non existent delivery that'll never happen. cancelling immediately right out of the gate

We have called 5 times to have the propane tank picked up spending at least an hour each call. They never follow up or pick up the tank. It is going on 3 months. Their price for propane is 3x higher for existing customers so we were forced to change companies.

Amerigas used to be a great company to deal with. You can no longer call the local location in Caldwell, Idaho. You are now connected to a call center that seems like it is offshore. I had propane delivered in April of 2023. The delivery driver caused some property damage during the delivery. I have sent numerous emails with no response. I have also had 7 phone calls about my property damage and have sent pictures and have had promises to address the situation but have gotten no response. My last call they said they would have a supervisor call me in 24 hours and I've been waiting 3 months. Today they said they would escalate my complaint.I will never buy propane from this company again. Stay away! I recomment Ed Staub Propane as a reliable company with local contact people.

This is absolutely the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I've spent 10 hours on the phone over 2 months trying to get a propane tank removed from my property. Horrible!

When we first set up service 10 years ago things were pretty good. Although they did let us run out of gas one winter. But the price keeps going up and up. Multiple local competitors are currently HALF the price.When I called to cancel they informed me they are going to charge me $200 to pick up the tank which was already empty and disconnect. This seems steep since we are not cutting our contract short.Also the customer service seemed to be getting worse over time. Overall I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone.

I have a coperate account and this place can't even manage to get a receipt emailed to me. 4 calls and none of the account information has been updated. This last call I was transferred to a "supervisor" and he simply muted his phone and refused to speak. This is over me requesting a receipt. Your customer service is the biggest joke I have ever experienced. Your company should be ashamed to employ an offshore billing company that does this poor of a job.

Probably one of the worst companies I have ever had the opportunity to deal with. Service was cancelled a year ago and they have yet to come to pick up their tank. Numerous phones calls to the company resulted in some gentleman saying "If the tank isn't in Boise, I'm not picking it up." A call to customer service and a CS Rep named Red, resulted in her refusal to allow me to speak to a supervisor. Since it's not my father making the call, due to the fact he is living with Dementia, I was told I needed to fax over a Power of Attorney in order to speak with a Supervisor. We're just trying to get Amerigas to pick up their frikken tank for over a year!

I called to see if they would do recertification of a propane tank. They said I’d have to have an account with them. Now that will never happen. Some place are good to potential customers not here won’t ever use them.

Amerigas sucks. Please come get your garbage tanks I paid for in 2009.You have no Americans to speak to. Only a massive daycare in the Philippines. Ordered propane over 6 weeks ago. I am an Idahoan.Embarrassing.

I was a customer of V1 propane for 20 years AmeriGas bought them and now customer service is in the toilet. Their stores are closed and it’s the most unfriendly customer service related business I’ve ever dealt with. I now give my business to Suburban Propane who is real people and always helpful.
