This place is set on the side of a hill that drops into Coeur d'Alene lake, the sunsets can be astonishing. But not as astonishing as the hot tubs that are located in every room, from the fading of color in the tubs, they look like they're from the 70s. They make the rooms super moist and mildew smelling. This place has a chance to be 5🎖️and get away with charging top tier rates. But that's what's called a free market, they're free to keep things cheep and smelly.

The view from our room (Bottom floor in the back) was OUTSTANDING. The room we stayed in had a Greek mythology vibe and I was loving it! My sisters room was forest fairies and it was beautiful! We were just passing through on our way to Washington but was surprised by the feel of that place. 10/10 would recommend!

We found this little gem in the woods. And it’s really nice. I do recommend people take the time to come here on there travels. It’s different but worth it. We showed up at night and the lady at the desk was very polite to us, even when I woke her up. But the place looks a little rustic but when you get to your room you have so much space and each room is themed differently. It also has a hot tub in each room and an amazing view over the water. I really recommend people take the time to come to this rustic gem in the woods because it will really be worth your time

Beautiful place, but worst ever. Found underwear in my bed. Told owners and they tried to fight me. Told me get out. Wow. I don't write reviews so this is important pay attention. Never stay at this filthy place. And if anyone want video of it please message me

The only reason I gave the room four stars is because the maintenance has slid a little. The location is fantastic, the view was beyond belief, and the staff are really nice and helpful. The room we got had a fireplace in the separate living room, a good size bedroom with a queen bed, and a deck with views that are spectacular. Oh - I almost forgot; hot tub in the room. Which, unfortunately, made it a little bit humid in there but if you shut it off and open a window return the AC on it's all good. Well worth the money. Very very very cool and interesting place. Will absolutely go back.

Great ma and pa owned motel. The hot tub rooms are nice for a private evening with your significant other 😉. Their service is top notch. Rooms could use a makeover but it works.

I was very disappointed i booked for my husband's birthday for the jacuzzi.. we could barely even breath in the room due to odor from hot tub im sure mixed with moldy smell.. was bad.. There was dead bugs everywhere on the bed, night stand, coffee pot they were crawling the place.. the filter in the hot tub hot coucking around it and coming off into the hot tub. Paid 155$ for a jacuzzi night with my husband and we unfortunately didn't even use it because we were afraid of getting bacteria infections.... Gross the front desk was very kind and welcoming and I didn't complain as much as I wanted to.. I should be refunded half of what I spent cause wasn't even worth it for the night we had planned..

Only ONE of the plug ins in working condition in the entire room. Parking limited ,Room OLD, small, No amenities, electrical plug ins DONT'T work ? Needs to be up dated or completely torn down & rebuilt !

In this case, you get what you pay for. The room itself was not the cleanest but the bedding was clean, and we appreciate the owner giving us a room (finding a room in Couer d'Alene on that particular long weekend was almost impossible). The room was cheap, clean enough (for desparate ppl) & available, so that is worth what they charged.

To put it mildly.. You really don't want to stay here. The view was somewhat beautiful if you could look past the rundown furniture and trash all over. The room itself was really run down. Tacky pictures of Marylin Monroe in the bed area, old TV with very few channels, bed that is really old and had a huge dip in the middle and springs you could feel (we called it the banana bed cause the foot area was higher then the rest with the huge dip in the middle), the shower is built for really short people, there was just a hole in the ceiling where the exhaust fan should be, the baseboards looked like a kid put them on, and it was a bit grungy. I suggest heading to the Quality Inn for a much better experience at the same price. Totally not worth staying at.

We loved our stay in The Roman Room - the rooms are themed and it feels like family cabin nostalgia. Yes, the rooms are older and the owners are gaining on making the property what they want it to be but it was charming. The jacuzzi IN the room was fabulous. The service is wonderful and I would certainly stay there again. I hope this continues to succeed for them, it's a cool place, wonderful view, and restful place that will feel like summer vacation camp.

Wouldn't let a dog sleep here.
The manager was very personable and genuine. The building itself is of questionable quality. There were leaky areas, unsettling visible wiring, and a sketchy staircase, to note a few. The linnens had several stains as well. We did not try the hot tub which looked like a breeding ground for bacteria. The views of the lake and the hostess were redeeming qualities. If you're into obscure art of centaurs with giant packages this is a spot for you.
All that said, we did stay two nights.

Rooms felt dirty.. The floors were sticky and underneath the bed hadn't been cleaned in months im assuming. Grabbed our room keys on the way to silverwood, but when we got to our rooms around 11pm, the doors to both of our rooms were not only unlocked but left cracked open. Super uneasy feeling. Could have some potential, but I feel the pictured provided were pretty deceiving, for our rooms anyway. The staff was pleasant, so that's a plus.

Room was filled with ants, tv cord did not reach the outlet, drains didn’t work. Stole our shampoo and conditioner. Ac didn’t work correctly and was loud.
