We had our wedding at Elk Point a week ago and couldn’t have asked for a better venue. Jeff was great to work with throughout the entire process, great communication and was extremely helpful the day of the event, along with his staff. On top of the great service, the views at Elk Point are hard to beat. Would recommend Elk Point to anyone!

BRIDES BEWARE!!!The only thing good about this venue was the DJ and our Bartender/ Officiant. We are bummed to never be coming back but the owner is so disgusting we will never be giving them our money again. Hindsight is 2020 I will never recommend any bride to have their wedding here. Very unprofessional as you can probably tell based off the reviews as well as what they will reply to them. They clearly don’t take criticism well. Don’t open your home to being a venue and ask for as much money as you do and treat your client’s family and guests like you’re doing them a favor. They are not worth your $12,000 for 8 hours. Not personable whatsoever, strictly care about profits. The million dollar view they claim to have is not any excuse to treat anyone how you want. Our wedding was amazing thanks to all our vendors other than the venue.

If I could give them negative stars, I would. The only thing I liked about this place is the view. Sure, it's a great venue because it has a nice view but let's talk about the owner. September 10th, last Saturday, was my daughter's wedding which means we all had a lot that we were dealing with and as the mother of the bride I had the job of dropping the wedding dress off at the venue prior to anyone arriving so the photographer could take photos of the dress. When we got there, we pulled all the way up tothe shop that's right behind the building to hand the dress off quickly to the photographer and leave. It would have been about a minute or less that we were there doing the exchange but the owner, Virginia Tate, came out and began yelling at us for where we pulled up saying we could not park there. Mind you, my husband didn't exit the car nor did he turn off the ignition. As I explained I was the mother of the bride just dropping the dress off and leaving right away she continued to yell saying, "Well, I am the owner!" Next thing you know I was in tears and asking her to please just let me get the dress dropped off so I could get out of there but she continued to yell and all I could do was turn around and ignore her and talk to the photographer, quickly drop the dress off and get out of there. She still continued to yell as I was getting into my car. Mind you, we had already moved our car like she asked us to, as soon as she asked us to. This was a most unpleasant experience for a mother of the bride whose day was already jam-packed with enough stress and emotion. This was so unprofessional, so unwelcoming, and so completely unnecessary and a horrible way for my daughter's special day to start. For this reason that owner can keep her view and I will never give her anymore of my business. I hope you do the same because this is not a way anybody should be treated, let alone someone who has paid them thousands of dollars to use their venue. Not worth it! Luckily, the wedding all went very well, most likely because she was not there! Not sure if the food or service is good because I've never been there but I'll never know because I will never go back! Funny thing is, as I've talked with others about this horrible experience they said they've all heard this about the owner. BRIDES BEWARE!!Also, from the snarky comments the owner ALWAYS leaves on every review, I can't wait to see what she says about this one! Stay tuned and look below!Reply to Rude owner: I'm not even going to waste my time reading your reply but I do need to say for anyone reading these reviews and replies for research purposes, there was five of us and one of her. All five of us would tell you the exact same story. Not sure what she's not getting about it. She must have blacked out, ran her mouth and forgot what she said! That's the only explanation I can give. This woman has never offered an apology and she literally almost ruined my daughter's wedding day. Not sure what she's not getting about that. Like I said, Brides beware!

I was a guest at a wedding here the other weekend and while the view is absolutely amazing, there were a lot of weird things that happened here. First, there weren't enough chairs for everyone to sit for the ceremony. Peoplel just stood around including us. Then there weren't enough tables and chairs for dinner and again at least a dozen or so people had to stand and eat. How odd! We had a great group of friends that made things fun, but the staff was very unpleasant and it felt like we were such a burden on them. Food was ok. Service left little to be desired, and I heard many a horror story from people within the wedding party. Yikes!-Hi there. Not sure how to reply to your comment. The wedding was 6/11. There's no way the bride and groom miscounted their headcount so that over half the guests were standing. There were like 20 chairs put out if that. If the wedding party wants to air their grievances, I'll let them as its not really my place. I am aware of an older woman berating them about being on the wrong grass, and someone was pretty upset the smoker's section was right next to the kid swingset. Hope to be back to have a better experience!

Gorgeous view but the service is an absolute joke. Not a single pleasant experience with anyone working there. Brides you better run away!My response to the business owners: I was a guest at a wedding here this summer. Your staff is frankly very rude. Shocked whenever I see a positive review for your venue.
