I got my work boots resoled here and they did a fantastic job. It took less then 2 weeks and cost about half the price of sending them back to Danner to have them resoled.

I used to come here for specialty orthotics but over time the service has gotten worse and worse. Now, half the time, during regular business hours, there is a note taped on the door saying he ran an errand and will be back in an hour or two. I drive 45 minutes one way to drop things off and find this very unprofessional. Prices have jumped and workmanship has become shoddy. Go somewhere else!

I recently moved to the CDA area, and I'm trying to find a new local boot repair place. To test this guy, I took a pair of work boots in to have re-soled. No major work needed, I've just walked through the sole. As a land surveyor, I have about two pairs of boots re-soled every year. First shock, this is the most I've ever paid for a re-sole. It cost as much as I've paid previously to have both the sole and welt re-done. Second shock, I'm told it'll take a month to have the work done. Usually, I'm quoted a week and get a phone call about 3 days later that the boots are ready. Third shock I show up a day after the quoted ready date and the boots aren't ready, they were ready a week later when I went back. Fourth shock, the boots were dirtier than when I brought them in, with glue on the leather and dust from the sander all over them. Maybe I'm spoiled, but this is the first time I've had to clean boots after they went in for repair. The boots have new soles, and I'm viewing this as a learning exercise. I will not be doing any further business with this guy, and if you have quality boots, I suggest you avoid him as well.

Shoe and purse repair is a service that is hard to come by. This man is ready to retire and it would be great if someone could step up and apprentice under him. He is overwhelmed with work too. Those who complain about the slow service don't have an effing clue about this lost line of work. As a former expert shoe fitter, I know HE KNOWS HIS STUFF.

I took some high heeled sandals in because the reviews all looked pretty good. When I first walked in I was disturbed by how dirty and messy the store was and should have turned around then and left. But…I left my shoes to get repaired. Picked them up today and the heels are all scratched up gouged and there’s glue everywhere on them that can’t be removed. The man that owns this place is a very rude and unhappy old man and when people bring their shoes in he just throws them in the back in a pile of others and when he’s done he stuffs them in dirty cubbies with other shoes. Walk in and see for yourself. I was disgusted by his store and him and his lack of customer service not to mention ruining the only pit of heels I can wear. I would never ever recommend this place to anyone. He should be ashamed.

Can I leave zero stars? Same story here, took in a brand new pair of $200 Keens that were in the closet for a year (so I couldn't exchange them), the soles didn't get enough glue at the factory. Seems like an easy fix. What did he use? Rubber cement? Not only did he take 6 weeks after telling me to come back 3 times when they weren't done... but they had sloppy glue all over the shoes. Since it seems to be rubber cement it rubs off but what a mess. Terrible shoddy work. I could've done better myself with shoe goo. You think taking something to a professional means you'll get a top notch brand new job professional job.Infuriating. So mad. Never go here.

I have some stitch-down boots in fairly new shape and the Vibram sole separated. I contacted Lake City Shoe Repair and they installed a new Vibram sole for me and did such an amazing job, the boots feel like new! They feel better than ever and look amazing. Couldn't be happier about it, and the cost was VERY reasonable. HIGHLY recommended!

They take great care of my shoes whether it's just a cheap pair of heels I just can't part with or high-quality character shoes.
