Safeway is to expensive and the workers are very rude also I was in line to get the soda deal today the buy 2 get 3 free and she said it's a digital coupon and was trying to charge me over $70 and there was a couple in the line next to me and the cashier said oh yea they are buy 2 for $10 and get 3 free and I'm like ok that's messed up but I told her to take all the soda off

Basic smaller Safeway. Has most everything you need, not necessarily everything you want. Staff was nice.

Safeway has "for u" deals, that you need to scan to clip the deal BUT it rarely goes through to check out. One of the times I got help with it, the team member said it happens all the time. Double check your receipts. The team at this store is great, and the store is kept clean and organized.

Very nice. Good selection of everything. I just got into town an hour ago. Service personnel are the strong point. I got a beverage at the Starbucks inside and walked around. Coffee, produce, gas station next door, deli style foods, short checkout lines.

1 star for raw bacon and the price, $7 for a deli sandwich that made me vomit after 2 bites. Beware, they are going to end somebody’s life.

Edited; So, i read through past reviews. The issue that I experienced has been going on for months. It clearly seems it is an ongoing management issue that Corporate is not willing to address.
Dang Safeway (Neider Ave. Store)! 9:30am Went for groceries this morning. Had a semi full basket, rolled up to checkouts and no checkers in sight....no lights on for an open cash register. Stood there for several minutes (can you look at cameras?). Finally an employee wandered up.....checking her cell phone. I had to ASK her if the register was open. She said "yah"....didn't turn the light on....then checked me out. I was stunned...not what I expect from a Safeway. Of course I won't be back. What the heck???

They were out of the rolls for the bread, cucumbers, all the turkey and chicken, they burned my bacon, they were also out of onions and the lettuce was the saddest proportion I’ve seen. The wrap job I’m sure a kid could do better.

I went to the Safeway to specifically get buttermilk. I saw that the manager special on quarts of buttermilk so I grabbed a couple of those. In the self-checkout they did not ring up with a discount but run up as full price and I mentioned that to the lady who was there to help. First thing she said was, "Ew buttermilk! You drink that?"
" I make buttermilk dressing."
So she calls a manager and that manager informed her that they do not do managers special on Dairy.
of course I said, "they did on this one and probably because they expire today."
She marked them as buy one get one free which is actually $0.40 more than I would have paid. I paid and I went out to my truck frustrated and grab my cell phone to take a picture of the manager's tag. As I walked up to get the photo I encountered the lady who had said they do not do managers special. I startled her as I reached out to take a picture. It seemed like she was just going to take the tag off. She said,"oh you must be the person who got the buttermilk?"
I said "yes, and I wanted to get a picture of the tag because I have never been as embarrassed as I have been by the way I was talked to by your person at the register."
And then I left.
