I used to shop here weekly and this USED to be my favorite thrift store. A year or 2 ago, I could easily fill up my cart and spend $100 every time I shopped here. Now, I avoid shopping here because the prices have become OUTRAGEOUS. I can find similar items Brand New elsewhere at half the cost! I was floored the last time I went in. Every item I wanted to take home did not have a price tag under $20. This is a thrift store... Not a high end resale company. The items donated came in at no cost to your company. I will no longer donate to a greedy company like St. Vincent de Paul or Goodwill. Good luck staying in business with those outrageous prices. If the items cost too much, people will walk away. This is one of those instances. Thrift stores are typically shopped at by the lower income and middle class demographic. This is not the place for Greed. Whoever is running this show, needs to seriously reconsider their business choices. I know a LOT of people who feel the same.

This used to be one of the most accessible thrift stores in the area but when I walked in today I saw many tags listed as "vintage" that were 1. Not vintage and 2. Worn out, cheap materials. ALL priced above $20. This baby onesie was literally $24.99. I actually could not believe my eyes. What is the point of a thrift store if the prices aren't accessible? I saw a sweater listed for $20.00 because it was "vintage." It didn't even have wool or any material that could keep anyone warm. Truly have never seen something like this. You can get new, unused clothes for the same as what they charge. It's so disappointing.

A pair of boots I donated is for sale for 200$ I would’ve rather given for free to someone. They’ve forgotten the point of a thrift store for the community to be able to get things for cheap from the donations of others. For sakes it’s literally named after Saint Vincent de Paul. So where are the good deeds.

I absolutely love thrift shopping and have been doing so for years. Within the last 6 months to year at the CD’A St. Vincent De Paul’s store the prices have sky rocketed! A brand named, stained hat is now $19.99?! Almost every price tag I looked at I laughed & kept walking. You can easily get some of the items for way less, brand new. The worker up front was very rude when I asked about the now rising prices and she told me “it doesn’t seem to affect the store” Well, I had to chuckle. I have never seen so many isles of not purchased clothing that I have no doubt will continue to sit. Books… don’t even get me started. $20-$50 for a used book?! Also, whoever leaves the responses to the reviews, it’s cringey to read your responses back to other feedback. I really don’t like being negative but people have to say something, it’s getting way out of control thinking you will sell even half of the items for the prices you’re asking. Best of luck, you will need it.

My friend lost everything in a wild fire. I was told by St. Vinnies that she could go to the office and get a voucher and they would give her anything she wanted or needed. She drove 60 miles yo CDA, Idaho, to get items she needed only to be told that everything she had picked out was a "big ticket" item and that the offer for free stuff did not apply to any big ticket item! Wtf? One item was even just a warm coat! Also their prices have skyrocketed so that everything in the store that isn't total crap (that nobody wants) is a "big ticket item"! I will never donate to St. Vincent DePaul again or even go in to shop. It isn't like the Catholic Church needs to overcharge poor people for second hand items to stay afloat!

If you have the chance to volunteer in the warehouse don't call the employees out for stealing things. They are entitled to take what they want. If you confront them for stealing they will make up a excuse to have you leave.

Over priced clothes. $100 brand name shoes that were completely worn out. Fur coat for $150 that was stained and missing buttons (smelled like smoke). I understand trying to make a profit but for these prices I can buy new. The furniture is expensive, scuffed, and missing pieces. The staff is sometimes nice depending on the day. Not worth the trouble.

I'm am highly disappointed in the way this store has priced their clothing. You get all of these cloths for free and you have the nerve to charge $100-500. This is a place that's supposed to help people, it is not for your profit. $130 sorell boots that were completely worn down is not acceptable. I've used thrift stores my whole life and now can't afford them. Very sad.

I have always loved coming to St. Vincent de Paul, until today. Apparently St. vinnys is under new management and it shows in their prices. Holy moly I was shocked at some of the prices they were asking for on a lot of their items. They were literally jaw dropping. There are 75+ mentions of prices on here in the reviews. I hope management takes what the community is having to say into consideration. There was one customer I had a conversation with in there today and they mentioned “it’s all Gina” … I’ve also taken some time to read what the owner has had to say in response to some of what people have had to say on here. We as customers are not trying to understand your business model. We are customers. We just want to shop with you and have affordable prices. Don’t use inflation as a clutch. There was a terminator 2 movie book in there today. Marked $19.99. On the back of the book where the UPC barcode is.. it was originally sold for $19.95. This is a thrift store. With items that have been used, and gently used. You were selling this book at the price of new. What??? I won’t be coming back until Gina decides to make revisions OR she moves on and someone else who isn’t so greedy takes over.

I have been thrifting since I was a kid. I have thrifted in Orange County, La county, Portland OR, Seattle and surrounding areas and north Idaho and eastern WA. They have items from Shein, madewell and target for almost retail price. I left this store deciding I would rather continue online thrifting from Poshmark, Depop and apps like offer up than be robbed from very worn items with high prices like they have here. They allege they contribute to the community but where? As far as I’m concerned it’s just verbiage to justify their overpriced items and combat people’s negative reviews. Very unimpressed. I should also note I find it super cringey that they publicly tell reviewers whether their reviews are credible or not ? Red Flag if I ever saw one.

Do not buy or donate anything to/from Saint Vincent de Paul they are not in the communities best interest but are a for profit company, they recently put up a sign and chained the entrances to the donation area that says (due to the possibility of theft, please do not leave donations overnight or before store opens)! if they were a true believer in what they say they would not care if things were taken from the donation door as that person obviously needed that item more then a for profit business needed $5
