“We recently had the opportunity to visit Settlers Creek while we were in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, and we were so glad we did! We own Bar H Ranch Event Center in North Carolina, so anytime we travel, we enjoy visiting other farms and event venues and seeing what makes each one unique. Settlers Creek was absolutely beautiful, and we were very impressed with the size of the property, the organization, the amount of parking, and how many people they were able to accommodate while still making everything feel comfortable and enjoyable. We happened to visit during one of their Thursday evening cookouts, which I believe was part of their Fire Festival, and it was such a fun experience. The food was outstanding. There was everything from pork tenderloin, pulled pork, chicken and ribs to cornbread, chili, a taco bar, beans and rice. Everything we tried was delicious. They even had an ice cream bar and chocolate chip cookies for dessert, which was the perfect ending! There was also so much to do throughout the evening. They had live music, plenty of seating, and games including cornhole, horseshoes and other outdoor activities. There were families, couples and groups of friends everywhere, and it had such a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. We were told these events are held on Thursdays and on some select Saturdays, so if you are visiting the Coeur d’Alene area, I would definitely recommend checking their schedule and making a trip out to Settlers Creek. From one farm and event venue to another, we truly enjoyed seeing what they have created. It is a gorgeous property, the hospitality was wonderful, and we had a fantastic evening.
