I’d leave zero stars if I could. Customer service is terrible. Very attentive when they’re trying to sell you something but can’t be bothered after they get your money

Raised my monthly bill from $20ish to over $400 and when I called to adjust that it went form $460 to $220 then to $55. It felt like I was getting scammed because I said I couldn’t afford it and they would respond with “the cheapest we can do is” every time I said I couldn’t pay that amount every month. They took nearly $500 dollars from me after I canceled my account with them. I’ve had to talk to two employees to get a refund. Still waiting.

Spoke with Christine about coverage , who is management . After two denied appeals , Christine states this insurance is not available to Nurses in California and their are no covered hospitals. Then why do you offer insurance and make money off of nurses? Secondly , my bill is not covered due to a medical diagnosis that is not active Covid but my doctor clearly states Covid pneumonia that is two weeks acutely active. Christine states I need to call the hospital because she does not have the ability in a non network hospital. This is unacceptable and a scam. The doctor that is covered is affiliated with the hospital. I don't complain , but this injustice only further supplies a nursing shortage. It is a moral issue. Very saddened by this insurance company and advice you before choosing them .

I am a vaccinated nurse who contracted Covid and was hospitalized. Mountain Co-op states that any Covid related costs would be paid. My hospital stay is still a battle of costs and two weeks after my hospital I was sent to the hospital because I was not getting better because of Covid and the insurance company denies coverage because the hospital coded it wrong. After numerous phone calls and the appeal process, they say this is a medical diagnosis and not covid. They say they cannot do anything and they cannot correct the codes The medical records clearly state Covid is the reason. I am so disappointed in how nurses are treated and how stressful this whole Covid related situation is treated. People get paid to stay home and those caregivers paying for insurance cannot even get their bills covered. Mountain Co-Op is a terrible insurance

My plan said they covered prenatal care. But so far I've paid $3,000 out of pocket for US and testing most of which is not being applied to my deductible. They aren't paying the testing because the provider was out of network. They didn't tell us there was a provider in network until after the test was preformed which by the way when you are dealing with the situation we were in that is the worse time to discuss money... oh and they covered less then if we hadn't gone with insurance.

As horrible as most private insurers are, being in the business of denying claims (why cant we have single-payer like every other wealthy nation?), Mountain Health's customer service is wonderful. I had questions about a claim and someone very nice answered the phone without a wait and answered them. Isn't that amazing that these days that warrants a five-star review?

We signed up for Mountain Health CO-OP insurance one year ago with high hopes that it was our best option. We reviewed the prescriptions they said they covered and based on that issue alone, went with their plan. When we got to the pharmacy to pick up the prescriptions they said they covered, we found that Mountain Health requires us to jump through numerous hoops before they will cover the medicine. This included extensive procedures and expensive "TESTS" that they didn't pay for. In short, we feel we were the victims of a bait and switch scheme where they said they covered specific medicines but really didn't cover them at all - at least in any practical way. We left Blue Cross last year to go with Mountain Health but have regretted the decision all year. For 2021 we have gone back to Blue Cross so we will have the access to the meds our doctor has prescribed and thankfully we're done jumping through hoops for coverage through Mountain Health!

Positive experience signing our team up with the CO-OP. Feels good to be member owned and based in the Rocky Mountain West. Would recommend to anyone. Not sure where everyone else is calling, but I've had very responsive support in any questions I have.

This insurance company is so hard to deal with, no representatives seem to be able to help you, seems like you just get transfered around and not one person knows what they're doing. My prescriptions are not being covered its a joke. Read the fine print because this is worst insurance I've ever had.

My wife and I enrolled with Mountain Health Co-Op through Your Health Idaho. Initially they we fine to work with. I then had an issue with Idaho Department of Health and Welfare about my ATP for my premiums that was not their fault. At first their Member Service Team was helpful and recommended an appeal with Your Health Idaho. It turns out that was the wrong move and the appeal was denied. I called back to the Member Service Team and it felt like the representative had no interest in helping or resolving the issue. I asked to speak to a supervisor to gain some additional help. Here I am waiting over 45 minutes on hold and then I was transferred to a survey instead of the supervisor. It seems like they do not care. I would recommend looking into other options for your insurance needs - and NO Mountain Health - I am not interested in contacting your less than helpful Member Service Team.

I enrolled my newborn daughter in this healthcare and we had a very pleasant experience with MHC during a difficult, stressful time in our lives. The wait times by phone are short, customer service is responsive and kind, and any issues we had managing our Your Health Idaho plan were handled well. We had trouble with Your Health Idaho but it wasn’t MHC’s fault. They helped us fix the errors and we recommend this company to anyone looking for health insurance.

I've never been more pleased with an insurance group. This company isn't in it to make a profit, they offer great plans for decent prices and follow through on what they promise. What a blessing to find them! Customer service is always caring and supportive, problem-solvers who know their stuff and want to help. I couldn't be more impressed.

Billing system is absolutely horrid. It's so bad they can't even read it. Had to pay and the lady had no clue what was going on. I did thank goodnes. Wish I would have went else where with open enrollment! I used to love my insurance.

I've had such a bad experience with this company. If you have to pay half your premium one week, then pay the other half the next, you call back and your payment has doubled then they say that it's for the next months payment. I've never heard of being charged for the next month in the middle of the month. That's just absurd. Plus I have arthritis at a young age and the injection that MY DOCTOR recommended me got denied because of my age. Good thing we're switching to a company that has better reviews. Don't go with these guys. Just save your money.
