“Six stars should exist for this Chateau Drug Store & Pharmacy. Perched in a corner the main shopping square and mainstay grocery story, Chateau is your idyllic small town drug store that we had long before HMOs and High-Deductible Health Plans. Known mostly for visits from celebrities who own mansions in this year-round resort town, the standout features often get left in the dust. This is a store where the staff treats you like you have been coming there for decades even if you just arrived as a part-time a residence each year. The friendly workers work HARD and will spend far more time than others I have found placing custom orders for hard to reach items, helping talk to you through repairs even if means they make a smaller sale. Chateau is the closest you will find to that 'Cheers' type hardware and drug store. And perhaps the least known is their pharmacy. The Pharmacy Manager is one of the brightest people and pharmacists you will ever meet, making suggestions on a relatives treatment that made a real difference and resulting in a cost-savings simultaneously. In a small town, I am told he is definitely the 'go to' if you want to save a half-day trekking down to urgent care. While there is another pharmacy in town, they spend more time and money souping up their website and selling elective (optional) medical products which are very expensive.. That is why locals who talk to others and have been both places all swear by Chateau and its Pharmacy. Plus, unlike the other pharmacy THERE IS ZERO SALES PRESSURE at Chateau's Pharmacy. In an unofficial poll, it was found to be the least expensive of the two in town. Thanks for running the best pharmacy I have yet to find. And thank you to all the hard workers who make Chateau a special place to visit.”
