ANY time I go there is a huge line. They are clearly understaffed... which is poor management. I simply can't take an hour or more out of my business day every couple of weeks. Seniors have time on their hands, the rest of us don't. Hopefully, my review, and others like it, will bring about a change.

Consistently long wait times and very slow service. Flu and covid shots are never on time for appointments. Seems poorly managed.

They don't answer their phone. I've called multiple times. No way to leave a message. I will be switching pharmacies. EDIT: called my doctor and changed the pharmacy I will be using from now on away from safeway.

I've been out of prescriptions there for *a couple months now* and repeatedly throughout this whole time they haven't refilled them and they never pick up their phone when I would call numerous times; yet -- the moment I transferred pharmacies -- that one was able to refill on one of the prescriptions I was able to transfer *immediately*. I still have yet to be able to even transfer my other prescription because Safeway just isn't even trying anymore. Absolutely horrible serviceEdit: those prescriptions can also mean life or death in extreme circumstances, mine included, there is no excuse for this service

Sunday April 2nd my husband and I drove up from Lewiston to the Moscow store. I grew up shopping at Safeway and any chance I get I love to go in. That will no longer be the case thanks to Mandy who was running the self checkout. I'm a disabled woman recovering from many failed leg surgeries. When I got to the store there was no drive around basket available. I quickly gathered my items and was in the store no more than 5-6 minutes. That is until checkout. 2 of our 8 items rang up wrong. One for $2.49 and one for $1.30 over. I clicked the help button. She did not greet us. She barely acknowledged us. I tell her which 2 ifems rang up wrong. She cuts me off mid sentence and says well I haven't seen that deal. Okay? So she made me stand in self checkout for well over 5 minutes why she ran to 2 different parts of the store to make sure I wasn't ripping them off. She comes back cocky and says ya that's not on sale & flashes a pic real quick to me while shoving her phone in my face. I said well can you fix the other one as i could see she was not going to help. She loudly told me I was wrong, embarrassed me in front of many other customers, and the kicker is I was right. She was very confident to let me know shes a manager Well Mandy, everyone including you has a boss. I yet again was made to stand for awhile waiting for the manager to finish up with the customer in front of us. During that time my husband went to the back of the store and took a picture of the display and price that I had said. He quickly apologized and refunded me the whole big $1.30. I made sure to walk back over and shove my phone in her face to show her she was wrong since she felt she could invade my space. I also felt it was rude her and a really heavy set employee (didnt get her name) where still at self checkout talking crap about me. Again, even tbough she was in the wrong. I will not be dropping this. As a disabled woman I do not deserve fo be called a liar, belittled in your store, or made to do your employees work. Looking at past reviews it seems this has been an on going issue. So maybe we need to let local news outlets know how you discriminate and treat the disabled of the community.

My doctor is very hard to get an appointment with. Safeways flu vaccine did the trick. Even after I got sick.

There is an employee named Brenda who is always efficient and kind. I often encounter sub par treatment due to my glasses and mask but not from her. She makes my regular shopping there a lot more comfortable and my family and I appreciate that kind of service.

Due to severe staff shortages, this pharmacy is literally a health hazard. They don’t even answer their phone anymore and the system they use doesn’t even allow you to leave a message. They will take several days to fill subscriptions after the order comes in, allowing people to go without medications that might be keeping them alive! If Safeway can’t provide proper service, which obviously they cannot, they should shut this particular pharmacy down.

I went in today to pick up a prescription for my daughter. The technician that helped me informed me they weren’t able to fill it because they were out. Okay, understandable (nationwide shortage, I get it) but I wasn’t informed ahead of time they couldn’t fill it. I then asked if there was a substitution for it, and he said I needed to talk to the pharmacist. After waiting a few minutes, I was able to talk to him and asked him if there was a suitable substitution for the amoxicillin. His response, verbatim was “I don’t know. You should probably go to Sid’s pharmacy.” What pharmacist doesn’t know if there is a substitution for amoxicillin?? Or even tries to find one? Instead, passes it on to another pharmacy.

I've been calling for a week now, dozens of times per day, at different hours. They flat-out don't answer their phone!! Now the heavy snow is here, and I can't go in to stand in line. This is the worst pharmacy, perpetually understaffed.

They never answer their phones or listen to their voicemails, and the line is very long in the store.

I have never had a good experience here. The line is always long. I have called like 5 times to try to get a refill and they have never picked up or actually refilled my prescription. When you make an appointment for vaccines you don’t actually “skip the line” like they claim. I’m never going here again.

Twice now have had RX sent here only to have them not filled after days and days. One this week (oct 2022) and once in Dec 2021, when i had pneumonia. Called multiple times, left voice-mails, called the customer service desk and left my number with them as well and asked for a callback and never received one. Finally after 4 days of calling I finally got through to have someone tell me they're too busy doing "shots and vaccinations" to fill their prescriptions. My prescription was for steroids and antibiotics, both of which were things needed urgently, and after 4 days they said they still hadn't even looked at yet.Eventually got my rx sent elsewhere because I couldn't get ahold of anyone, and was just trying to call to tell them not to bother filling it so hopefully they could use that time to help someone else and not waste their time filling mine. I understand being short staffed, but maybe some triage on urgent prescriptions would be a good idea. Absolutely unacceptable.

I've been very happy with this pharmacy over the past 10+ years, since we moved to the east side of Moscow. Delays have usually been because of hangups on the doctors' end. But tonight I went to pick stuff up once at about 5:30 and again later, after 7 p.m. Long lines of 5-plus folks both times, and nothing moving very fast. ***The staff needs more help***. Safeway needs to work on streamlining their processes more. Online Rx ordering is good, but doesn't let me know when things are actually ready. I'll be there tomorrow at 9 a.m. - lucky I don't have to work full-time.
