“My review is biased because this bank is my employer. However, when I was looking to switch banks I did a bit of research. I was recommended to try this bank from one of their former employees. I’m happy I gave them a shot. I opened my accounts right before they did an update to online banking. I absolutely love the app now. My wife and I used to do our monthly budget through a different program and now there’s a budgeting feature in the app. It’s super convenient that I can connect my accounts at other institutions as well. I’m able to connect my other checking accounts to the budgeting app as well so everything gets accounted for. I’m able to transfer between institutions, which makes it less of a head ache in my process of switching banks. It has a community bank feel with modern conveniences. I have a smart cents checking account for my daughter with $2,000 in it and it paid $22 in interest for December. They have a wide variety of checking and savings accounts (including free ones) and a full service loan department in consumer, agricultural, and commercial loans. I believe the process here is simple and my customers from previous institution have really enjoyed the change.”

“ICCU Has been great so far with our car loan. I wanted to get my credit from 770 to 800+ so I decided to finance a portion of our car instead of paying it out right. The interest rate was low and everyone has been professional so it was a good choice for me. I haven't been hit with any hidden fees and the staff are always readily available to help whenever I want to pop in and pay down some extra. The only slight surprise to me was the disability simple insurance and the single life simple insurance plans attached to the loan. I personally don't intend on dying or becoming impaired anytime soon so I had no need for these additions. I had them removed from my account the other day and I think I only am out 100$ from it collectively. Make sure you opt out of these two additions to the loan if you don't want to be paying towards them.”
