“Huge grateful shoutout for 160 Eagle OnDemand! I rode for the first time last week 10/27/23. I'm a senior blind woman who gets around with the help of a guide dog for the blind, and various GPS apps that speak to me about my surroundings. Prior to scheduling a ride, I made quite a few phone calls to VRT with questions on how to make this work for me. Every single person I spoke with was extremely helpful and friendly. I was beginning to feel like a pest for calling so much, but they all assured me that it was not a problem at all - they were there to help. When I finally decided to jump in and schedule a ride via their app, I was excited and ready for a fun day out on my own - except for my guide dog, of course (smile). Everything went smoothly. It's hard to express just how good it feels to experience the independence the 160 gave me. I won't forget that first ride, and I plan on many more in the future. Thank you, VRT and the city of Eagle, for making this happen!”
“Had a 1430 Monday Live Load pickup appointment for reefer load at 35°F. Per the sign at the gate, go left past the gate and the check-in office to the staging area. Office has bathrooms and coffee, drink, and snack vending machines. Arrived too early at 0830, told to come back at 1230. Checked in at 1230, got dock 30 (on East side past RxR tracks). Open doors, slide back tandems, bump the dock, chock wheel, disconnect red airline (1250). Staff locked the airline, got the bills, and brought them to me when done. Drive back to the staging area, get bills, and someone from the office will seal trailer. I left the facility at 1630. Didn't see any porta potties so might only have bathrooms at the office. Nearest scale is a mile away at the One9 by I-84.”
