My Father was great friends of their's and our family spent Christmas Eve family dinner with them many times. I miss them, I miss the fun through every season there. Lupa's has evolved mush through the years. The pic is me with Dad, summer 1970. Much love, many memories.”

“5/23 Perfect stay, Very clean room and hotel. Great service at the desk, pool was really nice, Great breakfast choices. The room had some REALLY nice touches, a night light in the bathroom, an air deflector over the AC vent to stop the curtains from blowing all around, a real sofa that was actually comfortable and a great desk chair, a solid surface remote for the TV that was easy to clean and not become the usual germ pit. These sound like little things but trust me they are a culmination of thought that leads to a very pleasant stay. These people did their homework and deserve a pat on the back.”

“I live on the road as a digital nomad, so my hotel experience is frequent. Very nice room. Clean, well decorated, convenient additons to the kitchen space, and comfortable couch. The hot water was limited and fluctuated , so showering wasn't the most enjoyable experience. Fresh and inviting lobby with a homey and comfortable gathering space that travelers took adventage of for visiting and playing games. Nice bar selections as well. The absolute best part of the stay, however, was the staff. Shawn is unparalleled in his customer service. Warm, friendly, and welcoming. We felt like we had arrived at friend or relative's house, not a hotel. He carries himself with the utmost professionalism, well-dressed, and clearly takes great pride in his position. And Rudra is such a friendly bartender. He was chatty and kind but not overly so that it was intrusive. He was careful in his preparations of our cocktails and checked in that they were to our liking. Both such lovely humans. What a wonderful experience with people who take pride in their work. Thank you, gentlemen, for a delightful stay.”

“Me and hubby stayed here for a birthday party that was close by we were check in by Sunny what a friendly and helpful guy his name suits his personality the room were very nice and clean we both enjoyed the breakfast we’ve stay and other place and all they serve was biscuits and gravy no eggs and other stuff that we enjoyed at your hotel wish we could have stayed another day but we definitely will be back again also I loved the hair essentials shampoo etc we will be planning to stay again ??Thank you Sunny!”

“Great place I stayed here April 3th thru the 6th.
Gary the owner helped me with my things. He carried everything into room 104 which is handicap room roomy and higher toilet and a shower chair grab bars in bathroom made it very easy to get around.
The bed was super firm excellent for me my back is a mess, after business meetings I can lay down and relax.
Rooms are clean and basic everything had been cleaned and smelled good.
For a hotel that provides nice clean quiet rooms no fancy things not needed. Waterfront hotel and marina are the best deal for your money.”

“Don't stay here unless... you want to be close to shopping, whether it's for something in the mall or a nearby chain store. If your hungry, don't drive far. Breakfast is served daily. Most restaurants are nearby within minutes for lunch and dinner. If you plan to go to a graduation for the naval academy/ out for fun at a theme park which is near by. Staff throughout the hotel was helpful. Came late due to a delayed flight but had someone there to let us check in. Gave us a good idea for places to go whether it be food or entertainment. Had fun at the indoor pool which was open until 10pm. I was able to attend my function at the navy base for graduation. Although families were present, I couldn't tell from my room. It was peaceful. Overall this is the place I'm booking if I ever have to return to Gurnee, Illinois.Rooms: Clean, spacious, comfortable with easy to control ambient.Nearby activities: Indoor pool. Six flags great america is the nearest theme park. Along with great wolf lodge.Walkability: Mall is just across the parking lot. Enough said.Food & drinks: Breakfast served daily. More than 5 places to choose lunch or dinner from all within minutes from location”

“Owners are very nice and kind. Well worth the money. Rooms were clean and service was a phone call away. Highly recommended to stay for a couple days or a couple weeks.”

“Wow. It's been a long time since a hotel had everything right! Great room and helpful staff. We ended up extending our stay twice and we didn't bother looking for our usual hotel chains because this one was really good. Would stay again.”

“We stayed at Hampton Inn gurnee for 9nights....the staff always said good morning,good night, asked if we needed anything daily, and helped us out with our couch/sofa bed which you could feel the springs....gave us extra blankets to make it more comfortable, and checked on us few times to see how blankets were working out..a complimentary breakfast every day. Jocelyn at front desk was very helpful the entire time we were there, and Ms Washington, who we saw during the evening times was such a delight. The hotel is old, but your staff would keep me coming back...thank you againRooms: Rooms were comfortable but the couch pull out beds need replacing”

The rooms were spotless and comfortable — clearly well-maintained. The desk manager was exceptionally friendly and welcoming from check-in to check-out. Stephanie at the bar deserves special mention — super friendly, professional, and makes fantastic drinks! The owner is often on the premises, personally making sure guests are happy, which adds a rare, hands-on touch. The whole place has a genuinely warm and inviting atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Gurnee!”

“Although there were some minor imperfections in our room, our stay here was good. The staff were nice especially Nick! He was very courteous and whenever he seen us he asked was there anything that we needed. He was very kind and attentive to everyone. “Excellent value. The room was slightly run down but very clean. The bed was clean and comfortable. We came in in the middle of the night, and the attendant was very friendly and efficient.

Rooms: Spacious even with a king-size bed. Clean and comfortable. Only slight was no water cups or coffee pot ( had coffee no pot to put it in).”
