The Hampton Inn Chicago/Gurnee offers a mixed experience for guests. While the hotel's location is convenient, with restaurants, stores, and Six Flags within walking distance, the overall quality of the accommodations is lacking. Several reviewers noted issues with cleanliness, with one guest describing the room as not being cleaned properly - the microwave was dirty, the TV dresser had "crusty stuff" on it, and the nightstand had profanity written on it. However, other guests found the rooms to be comfortable, if a bit outdated and worn. The hotel staff received praise for their friendly and helpful service. Guests mentioned the staff's willingness to assist with requests, such as providing extra blankets for the uncomfortable sofa bed. One reviewer singled out Jocelyn at the front desk and Ms. Washington as being particularly delightful. The complimentary breakfast was described as "okay," but not exceptional. Guests also noted difficulties with the digital key system and concerns about the aging elevators, which one reviewer likened to something "out of the Shining." Overall, the Hampton Inn Chicago/Gurnee offers a mixed bag - a convenient location and friendly staff, but aging facilities and inconsistent cleanliness that may not meet the expectations of all travelers.
Room wasn't clean that good. Microwave was dirty the tv dresser had crusty stuff on it. And the nightstand had swear words written in it. Didn't complain since we drove 10 hours to get there. Housekeeping should really clean the rooms better.

Older and kinda outdated. Bring your own pillows. They have tiny pillows. Like laying your head on a soccer ball.⚽️
