Getting very expensive to shop there for used stuff.

It is a great place to look for small home remodeling projects or furniture items. I wish they did the color tags like other ReStores I have been to, but the prices are not bad either way.

I had some old items to donate, but the guy told me he would not take used plumbing items. Kinda blew me off.I never bothered to go into the store.

It was a little unsettling having an older guy doing laps in the store. Like literally walking fast and giving odd glances at people doing dozens of laps around the store. It made me leave without purchasing anything.

How do people find “good quality” items here? It’s a bunch of overpriced JUNK!!!Literally some of the furniture should be thrown straight to the TRASH. I would never support this place … if your gonna sell trash price it as such. This photo is an example of the literal trash they r trying to sell, no handles and a TERRIBLE paint job …. Uh noThey wouldn’t take a BEAUTIFUL oak entertainment center from me but took this piece of junk??? Lol

Really quality goods, mostly fair prices and a clean store,Almost everything they sell is in great shape clean you feel good about buying it.Some of the tools can be a bit rough around the edges however with lots of life still left in them.Prices… can be depending. Some of the furniture is costly. It‘ll be a fantastic piece however you wont have to look for long to find prices into the $300-600 range. If this was an antique shop I could definitely reason with seeing this range of pricing. From what truly is a donations center at heart… and not a consignment shop. I don’t know some of the prices feel a bit much for the type of store it is. The pieces can warrant it there’s no doubt about that, the conflict comes into play when you’ve arrived at a location you understand to be a donation center and you understand these pieces were given to them cost free. The store is clean. Full stop. It’s clean. I wont say ‘inviting’ it is a open warehouse with sparse lighting and a team that is very task focused. Speaking from a customer service stand point, I’ve never had a team member engage me first. I’ve always had to initiate communication. This means you won’t get a stereotypical ‘hey how’s it going/thanks for coming in/what are we looking for’ but again… it’s not a stereotypical retail store either. It’s a donation center with a focused goal. So I can definitely get by without that. The few times I have engaged a team member they’ve been super pleasant with me. One gent helped me get some pendant lights down I wanted to buy and he was very friendly, outgoing and we even had a few laughs at some jokes. By far he’s my favorite team member there.Lastly I’ll wrap this up with a personal experience that earned my business and my 5 star for life,When a family member passed I was left about 21 pieces of huge heavy, solid wood furniture she had custom made long before I was born. I called up a mom n’ pop resale shop next door (name begins with an L ends with an E…) that I used to patron, and made arrangements 4 weeks in advance for donating the furniture to them. I rented a moving truck loaded everything myself on a swelteringly hot day. Drove to the mom n’ pop shop… and… they said no, told me the person who ‘assisted’ me should never have said yes blah blah. I was beyond mad. I had a truck loaded with furniture due for return in a hour or so. I called EVERYWHERE. Then finally called this restore location… they GLADLY took every piece with a smile on their face and saved my day. I will forever be a patron of this location for that interaction. In closing: if you know what you’re buying and know what you’re expecting to pay the prices are fair, quality is good, store front atmosphere and customer service are okay.. the shinning star is the operation and purpose of this business they understand their goal and they do it very well. 5 out of 5 stars from me.

They have really nice things but some of the stuff are really mean. Mostly the bold guy and the lady with short white hair(sorry for the language but don't know their names). They were at the register just talking while I was asking for help but they were ignoring me. Like seriously don't be mean. I have been there a few more times and I said Hi to them and they look at u like u are some sort of criminal. But there is a nice Hispanic lady who doesn't wear their shirt but is nice plus another African American lady. But the rest are rude

Today 6/22/23 @ 1:45pm I was looking at a hand mower to purchase and when I moved it to male sure it worked the white old lady yelled at me if I need help because I was making to much noise with their used product. I told her that wanted to make sure it moved but then she said that I need to stop making noise with it. I was so confused as to why was very rude to me about their product making squeaking noises when their carts make more of a noise then that. Then I went to check out and she saw me coming but ignored me. Said excuse me 3 times my voice get louder because she was purposely ignoring me with standing at the register with her back turned to the cart she had behind her. Finally at me paying was so rude so I told her its not nice to be giving an attitude for no reason.

What a bunch of LIARS!! I have five pieces of really solid furniture. FIVE. They will not fit in my car. They are 100% great. Nothing wrong with them. All are in mint condition. I showed pictures to the guy at the Habitat ReStore about a mile from my house and he told me that all the pieces would be very, very welcome at the Arlington Heights ReStore, and that I should fill out the form online to get a pickup date scheduled. So I did. I got the email back today that they would indeed accept my stuff, but they will not, for some reason, come and get it--although they state very plainly on their website that they do pickups. Of course you need enough stuff to make the pickup worthwhile. I would think FIVE FREAKING PIECES OF FURNITURE would be enough!!! Christ on an effing cracker! So--perfectly good solid oak rocker, perfectly good overstuffed living room chair and hassock, perfectly good bed solid walnut bedframe, perfectly good heavy duty steel shelving are ALL going in the trash because it would cost me $200 to hire somebody to haul all this stuff ONE FREAKING MILE to ReStore to donate it. I just don't have that kind of money. ReStore, either pick up stuff you say you want or STOP LYING about offering pickup!! APPARENTLY YOU DON'T OFFER PICKUP!!

Great variety of popular household items. Glad I found what I came here for, the prices are unbelievable. Someday I would like to volunteer here.
