Privacy is an issue at Quest. The technician would not close the door when I requested it, and there was no curtain that I could close to give myself privacy. People undergoing medical procedures — including blood draws — need privacy.

Erica (an African American woman) at Quest on Hwy K tried taking my blood and missed the vein, she left needle in my arm as she tried poking around for a vein. I was sitting absolutely still but she began hitting the side of the nerve, still sitting absolutely still, she then jabbed the needle right into the nerve. A sharp shooting sensation shot up and down my arm and I jerked because it hurt. She got all bent out of shape and yelled at me, “u can’t do that, I almost stuck myself”. I replied u hit a nerve and she said “I know!!!!”. And then got all upset threw her hands up and said I can’t do this and walked out of the room. She asked another tech to do it. The second one came in, barely stuck the needle in my arm. I couldn’t even feel it and took all the blood she needed. Erica never even apologized to me. It was her fault for hitting the nerve and she even knew that’s what she did and didn’t care at all about me. I can understand being upset but she didn’t need to be all dramatic about it. Apparently it’s happening to her before!!

Lab tech's are great, but the back end is horrible. This is the second time they sent the results to the wrong doctor. Won't be going back.

Had appt today early 8:10am to get lab work being in hurry i forgot to drink enough water i told the indiana guy about this he didnt respond i said i need water. he avoided me and was processing lab work paperwork i told him twice i havent had water i was in hurry getting here. sure enough he poked me right arm not enough blood came out he had to poke me on left arm to finish job 2 poked its recommended to drink water when getting labs sadly they dont have water there i was going to drink out of water fountain it was nasty no water came out just be aware next time im not going with indiana guy just beware

I received a text mssg to check in from my phone
Which I did. Waited 1/2 hr no one called me. I had to recheck in after wasting 1/2 hr and was late for work.
Then they called me and the guy went all over again with the same questions.
THIS IS RIDICULOUS AND WASTING TIME

One of the phlebotomists here has absolutely no business drawing blood. She touched my skin after using alcohol with no glove on her finger. And also forgot to draw a vial and had to stick me with a second needle. She touched my arm for like 5 minutes trying to find the vein which i found in 2 seconds. Then proceeded to draw blood from the middle of my forearm and jabbed the needle back and forth aggressively. 15 minutes later I am horribly bruised and my whole forearm is sore. Go anywhere else.

The assisting technician was very personable and caring. Additionally, she was very skilled in her job. I needed to do a lot of blood tests and she explained everything, right away found my vein and didn't leave any bruise which is quite unusual for me. I'm in awe.

HAVE SOMEONE ANSWER THE PHONE SO WE CAN KNOW WHAT THE WAIT IS.
I got sent by here by my doctors, I wouldn’t have to wait 30 Minutes to have a chance to ASK A EMPLOYEE about the order my doctor sent through.
There’s no front desk. No help. They send you to website or a digital kiosk. There is no way to even TALK TO A HUMAN

I was happy with my technician / phlebotimist as very professional. The checkin proceedure has been improved to automatically read your ID and insurance card (you need physical copies of both). The website needs an update to change/cancel an appointment.

They billed my insurance incorrectly. There is no way to contact them directly, not even their customer service answers. I cannot speak to any human to get this fixed. I will stick to the Glenview location from now on.
