Christine Bowers, is the best, she helped out so much. We needed a one specific month transaction, so we can submit to the home lender, and she was able to do it, and other branch in Bloomingdale were not able to do it. I was so mad that I wanted to canceled my account, but not anymore, thank you so much for the great customer service experience. She deserves a raise ?

We are very happy we decided to go to First American. Our banker, Kevin, could not have been nicer. Professional, returned phone calls, and worked hard to get us everything we needed. The staff is friendly and helpful. Great bank to be with.

It's with much disappointment I have to give my bank and favorite branch a poor review. I have been on disability since before June and have not been able to keep up with my savings account (required) minimum balance of $100. So I've assessing a $5 fee every month. I spoke to a banker over the phone yesterday to ask about closing my account. I was told (without even asking) that they would close my account prematurely without charging me the $50 fee they typically pass on. Cool right!? So I went in to the branch today to officially close the savings and the manager said "No..." I reiterated what I was told over the phone. He said "yeah I know, I got an email about it. I also told them we wouldn't be able to accommodate that request." No apology- nothing. It would have been nice to at least have gotten a phone call to let me know. I told him once I get back to work and have my ducks in a row, I was closing all of my accounts. He said "okay". Still no apology. I've been banking with them with them accumulatively about 20 years. That's going to end very soon. What people do and say is a reflection of themselves. I cannot work with a bank that changes their mind, telling me one thing and then another. Liars!!!

This is a classic if I could give it zero stars I would. Since there is no corporate posting this will have to be posted on all the individual banking areas. Had a charge that did not belong on my account. Called customer service, and let me say the one thing they do not provide is service, to try to get some help. Basically got absolutely nothing, was told it could take up to two months I had three different forms to fill out and a bunch of hoops to jump through. I think it would've been easier if they would've just told me to go screw myself and hung up the phone. I have been banking with them for over 30 years now, this is the first time I can recall having any kind of dispute on my debit card and unfortunately I realized at that point I was on my own. I would definitely recommend using a more reputable bank who supports their customers when they have an issue. I'm just glad it was not a large sum of money that would've been tied up for two months.
