“I took my car to Foster’s Transmission after a tire company uptown in Belleville told me I needed brakes. That didn’t sound right, so I wanted a second opinion. Foster’s confirmed that my brakes were actually fine and didn’t try to sell me something I didn’t need, which I really appreciated.
I did have a check engine light on, and they accurately diagnosed it as a bad O2 sensor and handled my 60k service as well. The customer service was excellent, the prices were fair, and everything was explained clearly. It’s refreshing to find a shop that’s honest and straightforward. I’ll definitely be going back and would recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy mechanic.”

“Went in horrible shake and a list of stuff dobbs said it needed. Turns out the shake was none of them things but a motor mount and cv axles took care of it. Made an appointment for Wednesday but said if I didn't need the vehicle I could drop it off Tuesday and maybe they could squeeze it in. I know the didn't start work on it till Wednesday but they got a chance to look at it Tuesday and call me saying what he said it needed. Very fair and honest with really reasonable prices! I would highly recommend them!!!”
