“First time visit to Joseph’s. I purchased their mild & hot sausage along with prosciutto di parma. The older gentleman who took my order was patient and kind despite me coming in a few minutes before closing on a Friday.
I highly recommend Joseph’s, their sausage was so delicious and not salty as many other places are. They are pricer than other locations however it is worth it to support a small business and their high quality meats.
I’m looking forward to returning and being a regular customer.

“I came in to try that NY strip steak sandwich that people have been raving about on Google. The verdict is the hype is real. The NY strip steak is very tender and flavorful. It’s like a medium rare burger, it requires very little chewing. It’s the combination of the French roll, the steak, the grilled onions, and Asiago cheese that truly make it just a great sandwich. Even after devouring it, it’s still on my mind and I wouldn’t mind coming back to try other items on the menu. Customer service is very friendly and attentive. You can tell they care about their customers. Parking is easy, you just have to go into that big lot to the right. Prices are very fair for the quality of meat.”

Love the old school attention to detail..3 day bone broth..but..let's step up the place..more burgers in the display case..a few salads..samples..maybe an outside table..some Italian subs on the menu over head..maybe a few soups stews..like beef..oxtail..chicken rice..ground beef..chicken breast..homemade sausage..let's get on it! “Fast loading. 30mins for paperwork. No biggie. If you are picking up, get here before 5am and they will load you. After 7am they prioritize local restaurants. Then start loading again after 10am. Decent backing in space. Once backed half way you have space to pull forward into a drive way.”
“Best spot on the west side of Chicago to go to for fresh meats and butcher and the prices are great they have everything you need for meats great spot and nick is cool as ever”
“I got here at 5:30am got approached soon as I arrived, they helped me park on the opposite side of street to unload the trailer. There isn't a dock they use a pallet jack to unload. The earlier you get here the better because of traffic.”
“For semi drivers: have your tandems all the way forward. That's what worked for me- from Grand Ave I turned south to Nordics Ave (swing wide!), and went couple hundreds ft down the road across the rail road tracks to the stop sign at Belden Ave. Turn right on Belden, then back up across the intersection and turn right on Nordics again facing Grand Ave. This way you can get out of here relatively easy.
Make sure you come as early as possible to beat the traffic.”
“A nice Mexican neighborhood grocery, taco and food place, with seats, and they also have a bakery. The prices for the grocery are kind of expensive BUT come here for the carnitas! It’s $11 per pound. There’s always a line apparently and there was one today. It’s wasn’t terrible but worth the wait of 10-15 min. The food was fresh and the flavor is great and not too strong and not salty. And I like how you can choose what pieces you want. Carnitas y chicharon on weekends. They have tacos and soups as well like $13/quarter gmenudo (tripe). The menudo was good also. So grocery store was okay but pricey. But the fresh food was good quality and not very expensive. No parking lot but in the street you can find a free spot.”
“Really love this store and the meal options it provides for my family. I've only had an issue with one item. We bought two packages of Baby Bella mushrooms and we noticed when washing them that they had a red slimey substance on the bottom of them. We looked this up online and everything we found said not to eat them. I will definitely continue to shop here...I'll just stay away from the mushrooms!”

“I’ve been coming here for years! The employees knows their frequent customers very well. I haven’t been here as often as I use to but the employees remembered me and my kids and of course the owner asked how we were. This is a very friendly place and the employees are very nice. I came in to get one of the meat packs. More affordable than going to grocery stores. They have fresh fruit and produce. All sorts of canned goods, pantry items and frozen food. If you are ever in the area, stop by and see for yourself. This is a nice place to shop and the employees and owner will help you if you need to find something.”
