“Healing with Hooves at BraveHearts ?? I had the incredible opportunity to work with BraveHearts at the Bergmann Centre, thanks to their collaboration with the Oscar Mike Foundation, which supports disabled veterans in reconnecting with movement, community, and purpose.
The experience focused on three remarkable therapeutic horses: Trick, Hawk, and Batman. Each horse brought something unique, but Batman was more than just a horse; he is a wild-born American Mustang a symbol of resilience, freedom, and untamed spirit. Working with him was more than therapy; it was a profound connection of strength and soul.
Batman’s quiet confidence, powerful presence, and deep sensitivity made every moment unforgettable. The bond I formed with him transcended the saddle, he taught me the values of trust, patience, and the beauty of silent understanding.

“I donated a sectional couch to them. I liked that they didn't charge to come pick it up. The lady I talked with was nice. The guys picking up the couch appreciated that I had it cleaned up and ready for them in the garage. Overall great experience.”
“My daughter joined this year so it was my first experience as well. The store its in is always clean and set up nicely. The ladies there are always ready to help if you have questions too. They had great energy with my daughter and made her feel proud, even thou she was really shy. I really appreciated the little cart/dolly they had to roll out the cases into the parking lot.”
