“Oh goodness - walking into this place is like walking into a whole different world. Opening the door to this place is akin to pressing pause on the hustle and bustle of life, and ascending into another dimension for an avid suspense reader. The smell of books, the beautiful polished book cases, and the ambience are all worth a visit, if not several visits. The service and hospitality are unsurpassable - the couple running the place are the sweetest and most wonderful people, ever. And there is SO much knowledge of suspense novels coming from these two that it blows your mind. The books are priced reasonably and buying here is a lot of bang for your buck. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this fort all book lovers, but especially SUSPENSE and MYSTERY readers!”

“This is one of the best bookstores I've ever been to, and I'm a native Angeleno who has also lived in the Bay Area. If for some reason, they don't carry what you're looking for, they will always order it for you. As a poet, it' really refreshing to see that they have an extensive poetry section that carries lots of smaller and indie presses in addition to the big publishing houses. A great kids section, a fabulous selection of art books and calendars, and a great place to get Moleskine notebooks and other journals. They also have a wonderful selection of magazines.”

“It's great to have a bookstore inside Woodfield Mall. I learned when shopping there that Barbara's Bookstore is actually a family owned business, not some major corporate conglomerate. It's quite a nice size for being in the mall. They have a good selection on all genres. You can find new releases here along with some old favorites. They also have a bargain book section in the back. They utilize their space quite nicely. Everywhere you turn, there are books! I love it! Their staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. You can also join their rewards program and get discounts for books you purchase, just by being in the program! For an independent store, you can find a lot of discounts/deals. It's nice to see because I would rather invest in a locally owned shop.”

“It’s a bookstore, record store, movie store, used bookstore, used movie store, used record store, and so much more.I stopped by for one title, but could see myself spending hours in this location. The store is organized neat and clean. Many of the books are preowned, but have been well kept and gently used. The prices are very reasonable.I found the John Steinbeck title that I was looking for, East of Eden, but not in the edition I wanted. However, the price was exceptionally good and I could not pass it up.Recommended.”

“When a bookstore is more than just books, you venture into novelty gift shop territory and that can cheapen places like this. Fortunately Kinokuniya strikes a good balance of attracting new business while still selling books and in this case, Japanese literature. There's all sorts of Japanese books, manga, and magazines here. There's Japanese paper craft, candles, incense, puzzles, plushies, and so much more. It's delightful to peruse all the goodies in this shop.”

“This place is a hidden gem for media lovers. They have a great selection of records and CDs, as well as DVDs and books.The priced are very reasonable. They may not have everything you're looking for, but that's the fun of used record stores.”
“Had an amazing experience here at Go. This is the best toys and games store I have ever been. They have all the toys and games that we need for our kids at home and even for gifts at parties. Their staff are so knowledgeable with the items they are selling. If you have something to ask they can actually explain to you the purpose of each of every items they have. So that you can pick the best items you want. You can easily find all the things you need because their store is so organized, clean, bright, and well-sorted. Also you can checkout so quickly because their cashiers are working so fast. Their location is so easy to find and they are one of the most visited store in the Woodfield Mall. They are also near to other well-known stores there, so you can find their easily once you visit other stores around. Highly recommend this Go store to all of you, for you to also shop and visit their store. Also buy some of their amazing items. They also have calendars that perfect for our houses. So get some time and visit their store, I am sure that you will be satisfied and amazed too. I will go back there again when I am going to buy some toys and games again. “4 stat because they aren't actually a part of the school. You have to show them your schedule in order to return rented books. Better to rent than buy though, so 4 stars. I also miss the corner bookstore that used to be on 5th before you turn into the school, but it is no longer there. Rent your books here though, or buy used. $$$. Better off getting your books though Amazon earlier if you can. Staff is still very helpful in getting your materials.”

“I ordered 4 puzzles and the packaging was fantastic, even after the delivery driver tossed the box at least 20 feet to deliver it, we are one of his last stops on his route. The exterior box was dented, but the puzzle boxes were not. I will definitely order again from this company. Thank you.”
