Yes, they offer R.E. for Kindergarteners. Even after receiving the sacrament of First Communion, they offer continuing R.E. classes up to and including confirmation. Many parishes that I know of only offer the preparation for First Communion and preparation for Confirmation but nothing in between those spiritual and faith formative years.”

I ended up being the only one on the guided tour, and even though my English listening and speaking skills aren’t the best, I really appreciated the guide’s patience. They slowed down their speech and frequently explained terms to make sure I understood.
The first half of the tour focused a lot on the design concepts and the details of the building’s restorations over the years. In the second half, the guide delved into Wright’s thoughts on the social role of the church and how these ideas were reflected in the design. One thing that really stuck with me was the idea that a church isn’t just a place for worship, but also a space for serving the community. Wright emphasized the importance of gathering spaces, designing large areas for events, even including a big kitchen so people could come together, share meals, and connect. I found it incredibly moving.”

It’s of course part of a larger NFC network, but seemed focused on being a blessing to the Villa Park community. It’s meeting in the basement of another church so if you’re looking for deluxe accommodations, this isn’t it. But if you’re looking for “salt of the Earth” kind of people, this is a church to check out.”

Tom Bortheroyd used money solely dedicated for the chapel use, then used some of that money for the roof, tried to hide that he did that, and tried to justify it by saying the chapel didn't warrant the money because there wasn't enough people going there, while also trying to stop people from going there.
