“My keys got locked in my van while trying to make a flight out of Chicago. nalua came out quickly, jimmied my door and gave us a chance to catch our flight. She went above and beyond and was so kind. These guys are good people!”
“We had called another tow company in the area and after waiting for two hours, we call for Tomatow. Alan arrived within fifteen minutes and was very helpful and professional. If I could give more stars, I would.”
“I’m giving this gas station four stars because they truly have some of the best prices in the area. However, their employees could benefit from retraining in professionalism, respect, and customer service—especially when interacting with older customers.
Earlier this afternoon, I experienced an unfortunate situation. After filling up my tank and purchasing items in the store, my vehicle wouldn’t start. Instead of showing understanding, an employee told me to push my car out of the way and even threatened to have it towed, despite me clearly explaining that I had already contacted a tow company for assistance.
Telling someone to physically push their car is not only inconsiderate but also unsafe—if I had been injured while following their instructions, the gas station could be held liable. Their lack of awareness and compassion was disappointing.
I ended up having to call the Bensenville Police Department to resolve the situation because the employees simply didn’t understand that pushing a vehicle is not reasonable or safe.
Overall, I still recommend this gas station for its prices, but I hope management retrains their staff to show more empathy, maturity, and knowledge of basic safety and liability concerns when dealing with customers.
Bottom line yes — the gas station (or its owner) can be liable if someone is injured while following an employee’s direction to push their car on the property, especially if the instruction or conditions were unsafe.”
