Courtyard Chicago Bloomingdale is a convenient hotel option for travelers seeking a comfortable stay outside downtown Chicago. The rooms are generally clean, spacious, and feature nice views, comfortable beds, and large bathrooms. Guests appreciate the friendly and helpful staff, who are available to assist with various needs. The hotel offers amenities such as a gym, a bar, and a breakfast area, along with nearby restaurants and stores, including a Starbucks inside the hotel, which is convenient for breakfast. The location is considered safe and quiet, with many stores and a supermarket nearby, making it suitable for travelers and locals alike. The hotel provides practical features like a laundry service for $2 per wash and dry, and late check-out options are available to accommodate families. However, some visitors have noted issues like dated bathrooms, limited food options (no free breakfast), and parking costing $12, which seems high for the area. One disappointment was the misleading information about the indoor pool; it had been shut down since COVID-19, which was especially upsetting for guests expecting it for their children. There have been some concerns about policies, particularly related to pet fees and emotional support animals, with some guests feeling uncomfortable about extra charges and responses from staff. Overall, the hotel is recommended for its clean rooms, friendly staff, and good location, but prospective guests should be aware of certain limitations and discrepancies in amenities.

I stay at Courtyards exclusively for work travel. This one was clean, the staff was professional. The decor is ready for a refresh, but everything was acceptable.
