“Updating to 5 stars because of the professionalism and care from a customer service rep named Xavier. I contacted customer service again on Friday (9/13). The gentlemen I connected with was awesome. He researched my situation and worked to provide me with the sale price. I now have a new traeger 885 grill and happy it all worked out. Shout out to Georgetown TX Ace Hardware as well. They were helpful and expedient in getting my order.
Last weekend Ace advertised a traeger 885 ironwood on sale for basically 200 off. I attempted to by the grill , along with multiple other items for the grill for 3 consecutive days (Sunday through Wednesday) but the ace com site checkout via my mobile device using chrome as well as the app would not work. I even have a screenshot of the error as I tried to retrieve my cart, with the sale price listed. I called customer service and the problem was miraculously fixed a couple hours later but now the sale is off. I asked ace if they would honor the sale price since I couldn't order due to their cart not working. I spoke with Ace store in Austin (research Blvd) they just flat refused, the manager would rather have no sale than honor a 1 day expired sale. I've opened 2 customer service tickets and have been basically told this was my fault. I didn't do this or that with my phone etc etc . I've been in IT for 40 years and yes I did all of those things way before I called to report YOUR issue to you.
Bottom line.. Your site didn't work to allow me to purchase at sale price as you advertised. Your customer service (opened two tickets) but I guess maybe you ticket tracking systems works as well as the app does. I believe your slogan is something about a friendly hardware place .. not so much.”
