“Gateway is the BEST. Dr Nickel was wildly supportive as we figure out and adjusted to a diabetes diagnosis with our dog, making sure to give encouragement which is exactly what we needed in unknown territory. Dr Sidney Klepitsch calmly and reassuringly guided us through a cancerous lump and surgery with our other dog. She also ended up helping us when our diabetic dog had a vaccine reaction, calling every day and saving appointment times for him daily until he was better (quickly thanks to her help)! Dr Hooper solved a skin issue with an emailed picture when it was late in the day and we weren’t going to be able to get in same day. We’ve had almost all of the other doctors too for regular check ups and have never had a bad experience. They ALWAYS go above and beyond. The vet techs are so kind and caring and the ladies at the front desk are incredible and communicative!”

“When my dog was attacked by a dog three times her size, we truly didn’t know whether she would survive. Thanks to the lifesaving care of the veterinary team at Bowes Animal Hospital, I still have my girl today.
Bowes Animal Hospital was the closest clinic to our home on the night of the attack. It was only minutes before closing when we called ahead, but the team immediately put an emergency action plan in place. When we arrived, Dr. Cassie was waiting outside so they could rush my dog in for surgery without delay.
Dr. Sunny, Dr. Singh, Cassie and Aldo, along with the entire team, sprang into action. They did everything possible to give her a chance and even stayed seven hours past closing to ensure she was stable enough to go home.
At every appointment, they treated my dog with incredible compassion, patience, and determination. They kept us informed throughout the process, checked in on the days we weren’t there, and continued to follow up even months after her accident. These veterinarians are not only exceptional at what they do but also incredible human beings who genuinely care about the animals they treat.
I will forever be grateful to Bowes Animal Hospital and the entire team for saving my dog’s life and giving me more time with my girl.”

Old fashioned respect for you and your pets, very good communication and follow through whenever you need anything. They have really gone above and beyond for my sweet boy, currently a cancer patient. Many calls to my home after hours by his vet, the practice owner, working tirelessly to make sure we had the best plan of action - and many hours of research and communication with other specialists on my pets behalf. You will feel like your dog or other pet is the only one they see. Amazing front desk staff as well , just really good people who care.”

“Could not have possibly had a better experience with Dr. Cook and his team. My five year old cat Pesto was having some serious health issues and needed an endoscopy. I was so lost with where to take her and am so glad I landed here. Not only was the price extremely fair for the procedure, but they were able to get Pesto in within a week.
After weeks of going to various clinics and receiving many veterinary opinions (several of which did not make much sense), Dr. Cook was the first vet who I felt was giving me sound, logical theories about what was going on with Pesto without trying to grab extra money. After biopsies, we found out that Pesto has IBD and she has been responding exceptionally well to a dietary change ever since.
I am so grateful for the care that Dr. Cook and his team provided - they were very thorough and they were all soooo sweet to my girl. She is generally not on her best behavior at the vet but this staff made her feel very at ease. I cannot say enough positive things about my experience. Thank you guys SO much!”
“Everyone was so patient with my pup, who is anxious and reactive. They went slow and modified the process to accommodate her. They listened to my concerns and repeated back to me what they were hearing me say, then walking through what they observed in my dog. They worked with me on cost and determining what should be done now and what can wait. Definitely a positive experience for both of us.”

“I have to keep this short before I start bawling again but wanted to give a huge recommendation for this place as an ER because a few days ago my husband and I had that nightmare, the one every single person reading this dreads, when one of our beloved cats died very suddenly, as in one minute the cat who had not been sick at all was playing and fine and the next he'd frozen up into some kind of siezure and stopped breathing in a matter of seconds. Terrified and in shock I googled ER vet near me and thank God I got this place, calling them while running to the car with our cat. We lost him, yes, to an apparent heart attack, but the kindness and care and steadfast feeling this clinic gave us when we needed it most has won them our loyalty and I'm grateful to everyone on staff that night for taking care of us, and of Captain Larry.”
“I've been meaning to write this review for years now, but better late than never! Dr. Jean Churon took care of my Great Dane, Moose, over a decade ago, and I still think about how wonderful she was with him.
Moose was a big, gentle giant, but like a lot of Great Danes, he could get anxious at the vet. Dr. Churon had such a natural, calm way with him. She took the time to let him get comfortable instead of rushing the exam, and it made all the difference. He genuinely seemed to trust her, which wasn't something he offered easily to strangers.
It's rare to find a vet who's not only skilled but also has that intuitive touch with giant breeds, who need a little extra patience and a gentle hand. Dr. Churon gave us both. Even all these years later, I still remember how much better we felt walking out of her office knowing Moose was in good hands.
Highly recommend her to anyone with a large or anxious dog — she made a real difference for us.”

“I visited the St. Charles Veterinary Clinic for the first time about two months ago. I took my cat in to get her yearly vaccinations, and get checked out because she had been having some blood in her stool. All of the staff were helpful and friendly. I forget the name of the veterinarian that treated my cat, but he was incredibly kind and the medication he prescribed healed my cat promptly! I also thought everything was quite affordable and fairly priced. You can tell they truly care about your pets! My cat and I will be coming here from now on!”
“The shelter vets provide low cost vaccine clinics throughout the area. My dogs have been vaccinated by them for many years. They provide a wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable service. Check online for their schedule. We go to our local Siers Feed & Pet Supplies in town. Couldn't be mire convenient!”

They were incredibly kind, compassionate, and handled finding the owners and taking care of the situation. Extremely grateful for them, and we'll keep them in mind when our own cats have late night emergencies.”
