No disrespect to Murphysboro employees as I know they are great and can only do so much, but Carbondale is like night and day with their ability to serve you. Love all the employees at both! The labor market sucks, I know, but whoever is in charge at Murphysboro needs to communicate WAY BETTER WITH EMPLOYEES AND CUSTOMERS ALIKE!!

Blah.Went to the larger Kroger in Carbondale for the first rimeI had been going to MytohysburoNow I understand why I haven't been using the bigger. Their employees are miserable.Their manager, is beyond rudeHere's my short experienceDropped in with my mother who lives separately, and my nieceWe all live in different households, but we shop together to save on gas I put some 12 packs in my cartSo did my motherUpon checking out, I had ten, it said limit 8 and I genuinely missed that noticeSo I bought the eightAnd my mother said, toss the two extra in my cart. The second she did the cashier called the manager. The manager took them out, stating there is a limit of eightMy mother said that's fine, I'll buy the two extra. The manager then literally TOOK them away to the service counter.Stating it's a limit eightMy mother protested stating she was under eight(And I just started in disbelief as this was going on over two 12 packs of orange crush)The manager said in a bitter and very rude declaration. It is eight per householdShe began to state she lived IN A DIFFERENT HOUSEHOLDThe manager walked away mid sentenceSo congratulations Kroger. We could have been the newest Soda Robbers of Southern IllinoisUs, with our criminal mastermind plan to outwit your company of two twelve packs of diet orange CrushThe big plan of getting ten instead of eight. Thank God you thwarted our plans.Meanwhile, my mother's cart full of about 145.00 in groceriesAnd my cart of 165.00And my nieces of 205.00?The last time you'll get out business.Better get those Wanted Posters printed about the three Carbondale Carbonation Bandits for the other grocers to be warned about.

WARNING: Worst pharmacy ever!!!!!! The only reason it got one star from me is because I can’t leave a review without putting one.Whoever the hiring manager for the pharmacy is needs to be fired immediately! If there isn’t anyone willing to work in this department stop hiring people that have no idea how to work in a pharmacy. The shortage of people isn’t the customers problem, and being overly nice now isn’t gonna work just because you want your reviews to go up. Your pharmacy employees are clueless. The place needs to be shut down because Your literally making the whole Kroger go down hill! Because of this pharmacy my family and I will no longer be doing my grocery shopping here and I will gladly tell everyone else not to shop here.

Shelves are often empty, especially of items they've just advertised. Their pharmacy is a disaster. Wait times of 45 minutes to pick up drugs are far too common.

Kroger is taking advantage of consumers! Soda went from approximately $1.39 to $2.49 for a 2L bottle in less than a week! No excuse for over a 100% increase in less than a week! Other than you want to take advantage of Consumers! Never Kroger, never shop there! Inflation is not an acceptable excuse for over 100% in less than a week!

They were a hot mess when there was an employee shortage, but they seem to really have things together now. The Kroger Pharmacy Club gets me a lot of prescriptions for free. Only downfall now is that they don't accept GoodRX coupons anymore.

They have no respect for there employees. They treat them like dirty I have spoken to several of them and they have said how they felt like the whole Kroger industry is forcing them to feel as if they should quit giving them terrible hours and or making them look and feel like under trash. Many of the works who have worked there for many years still don't have any seniority and are treated worse then the younger staff. They give them no benefit and expect them to be to there full potential.

I called looking for a certain eyedrop and Anita was so helpful and patient with me. I had written down the name of the prescription and spelled it for her. She said what I had spelled out they weren't familiar with, but if it was xyz they had it in stock. I told her I'd call the other pharmacy back and make sure the spelling was correct and she says to me, "Okay! Go ahead and give me a call back. I'll answer. We will figure this out together!" 10/10 customer service right there! ?

Recently I had an extremely upsetting and potentially dangerous experience at this pharmacy. I had to get a prescription for a blood thinner filled here, they didn’t have enough of the medication I needed, so they said to come back when I was running low and they would give me the rest. When I went to get the rest of my prescription, they said due to my insurance, they couldn’t fulfill it until the day I was completely out, which happened to be a Sunday. They said it would be ready asap Sunday morning for me to pick up. When I went to get my prescription on Sunday, I discovered they were closed for the entire day. My attempts to get my prescription filled at another Kroger location were futile, as every manager and pharmacist I spoke to said because the Carbondale location had already processed the order, there was nothing they could do. Because of incompetence of the Carbondale pharmacy staff, my medication that’s imperative that I take was sitting, unable to be obtained. After this frustrating experience and other incidences of discourteous treatment, I won’t be using this pharmacy anymore and I would not recommend it to others.

People are friendly. Produce is excellent. Wide selection of organic and vegetarian foods in the store. The prices are the best. People in checkout are friendly. Tammy is always nice.

The women that work at this place might be the most racist people ever seen. They were giving me dirty looks the moment I walked into the store and they made this one blonde girl follow me around the store... y'all know what you were doing! Absolutely blows my mind that you allow hateful people work at this place.

Literally the slowest pharmacy in Southern Illinois... today, wait time of well over an hour (to get 8 people through the line). Last time, over 30 minutes to get 2 people through. Staff can be extremely rude also. Absolutely ridiculous. Do yourself a favor & find a different pharmacy - I know we will be!

You can’t get a single person to answer the phone. I am trying to switch pharmacies, and my new pharmacy can’t even reach them. Your wait in line is minimum an hour anymore, there are no accommodations for people, usually at the door as soon as you walk in. They don’t return messages left on voicemail. I understand that they are short staffed but these are peoples lives and medications we are dealing with.
