“I wish I could give it 6 stars! My wife and I stayed at the Makanda Inn for a weekend getaway. The area is home to some amazing hiking at Garden of the Gods and Giant City State Park quite literally across the street not to mention many local wineries & shops. The Inn is a beautiful, natural place to stay for a weekend. We relaxed, reconnected and enjoyed the Inn in our beautifully appointed suite. Breakfast was amazing each day too! This area has so much to offer, we feel like we only scratched the surface. We will be back for another trip next year and we're bringing friends!”

“We chose White Pines Event Center for our little guy’s 2nd birthday and it was a wonderful experience. The event center itself is beautiful and spacious with a kitchen prep area. We were able to fit all of our friends and family, 2 bounce houses, and lots of excited children! The owners were so thoughtful and accommodating. We were pleased from beginning booking process throughout the event day.”

“Beautiful venue. Was here for both wedding and reception. Very spacious. ABOUT 3 FLOORS WORTH. Only complaint during that weekend was the AC broke down in the first 2. We all had to move to the basement and bar area. Because that was the only place that had working air conditioning. Other than that great time.”
“Unfortunately they removed all the pool tables but the club is spacious with lots of tables and plenty dance room. We went on NYE and were the only ones for an hour and a half. The bartender took amazing care of us. Made the drinks just right and they took care to keep sanitizing thru the night. Very clean. Upbeat. Will be visiting again soon.”
