“My son is getting married and I had been searching for the perfect pair of shoes but had limited myself to trying on flats or very low heels with no straps due to injuries suffered years ago and metal plates and screws in my left ankle and foot. I was feeling so depressed and thinking I would have to settle for an ugly orthopedic old lady shoe when I was approached by Brandon who asked if I had found what I was looking for today. I told him sadly no and he asked if he could help. I explained my situation and he listened intently. He asked what color my dress was and what my limitations were and showed me a couple of shoes I had already tried on, and then he asked if I could wear a wedge heel. I told him I hadn’t tried because I didn’t know if I could and he brought back a shoe that I had thought was so pretty when I walked past it but didn’t think I could possibly wear it , because it was strappy. Much to my surprise, I put it on, and the straps fell perfectly in place where they didn’t hit any of the pins or the plate in my foot and ankle. I was so happy it brought me to tears! I haven’t had on a pretty shoe In years and all it took was this kind person to listen to me and encourage me to try this beautiful shoe on, and it completely completely changed my day. I couldn’t wait to text my future daughter-in-law to let her know that I found beautiful shoes because she knows that I was really struggling over this and thanks to Brandon and his willingness to listen and help me, I can feel great about my shoes and myself at the wedding. I told him how much I appreciated him going out of his way to help me because you just don’t find anyone like him these days. He’s a gem!”
