We made an appointment. We arrived a few minutes early. The gentleman checked us in and I got a text saying we were next. We saw many people come in and be waited on in the 30 minutes we waited. When I approached the gentleman to ask our status he was rude and short with me. When we eventually saw a representative, he was rude as well. So we walked out without a phone. We didn't go to the South Neil store because when we called them they were also rude. Want EXCELLENT service?? Go see Austin in Urbana. HE is a wonderful human!!

Kids don’t know what they’re doing, obviously just hired to fill space and have bodies in the store. Extremely disappointing service and would not recommend going to this store in person ever. Some true Mensa level employees here, you guys should be quite proud of the team of children you’ve put together. Probably would’ve had an easier time if I was communicating through a series of grunts and farts. 10/10 on a scale of stupid.

Bought new phone several weeks ago and want to report that I was amazed at the competent and professional help I received from Bill. My phone was activated, the data and old phone number transferred, and my new Verizon account was set up. He paid careful attention to me until all the steps were completed. His customer service was excellent and very much appreciated.

Walked in to get a bill printed out for my grandma and was told “call the bill help line” when I told him I can’t do an email, I needed a quick print out of the bill (2-3 minute job) he said “yeah, call the bill line.”I felt like my need for help was below him and that it would be a waste of his time to help me? Or that because I didn’t make an appointment he WOULDNT help me (I came in at 12, only appointment times were at 2PM and 3PM) so I left frustrated feeling like I can’t help my grandma with the task she needed help with. (Please note prior to this visit I walked in to pay her bill and they helped me with the task even though I didn’t make an appointment and that took 3 minutes.)I called a different Verizon location and asked if they do walk ins or appointment only because the Champaign location apparently does appointment only. They said they allow walk ins and they understand that the Champaign location “sucks”.

literally such horrible service. Manager is disrespectful and was no help. he tried to say they don't sell phones here and only do upgrades. really rude and unhelpfu.

If your order is in anyway “complicated” the management here will do everything in their power to NOT help you. If you need assistance you’ll end up calling customer service to have them resolve the issue because customer care isn’t a priority here.Needed two phones traded in, ended up with one “not being eligible for the promotion” meanwhile the website showed otherwise.Disappointing that Verizons customer care in person has fallen this short.

We were out of town and had iphone failure! We went to the Verizon in Rantoul, IL for help. They were rude, could not fix or replace a 5 month old phone. Told us the store it had come from closed years ago, the only records they showed were from 6 years ago; basically called us liars. Then told us we'd have to go to the store in Champaign and have to wait in line for hours!Off we went to this Champaign, IL store. Walked in, waited for one person to finish, then we were waited on by a lovely, warm, and friendly young lady. She reset the phone in seconds. She pulled up the records which matched the info we had given to the other 2 male yahoos at the Rantoul store. She made a notation in them about the phone so if it happens again they can replace it. She also showed us how to do the soft reset. And then took time to visit with us since no one else was waiting. (She also had THE LONGEST natural nails I have EVER seen and they were painted to match the colors in her hair!)

Terrible customer service. Went in last week to confirm and was told they could assist with transferring a business line to a personal line. Went in today to do the switch and was greeted by the manager who basically told me he can't help me and to call the 800 number, then moved on to the next customer. I asked him again and he proceeded to say we can hold your hand and call with you but it would be over an hour wait. Treated the next customer after me the same way when she was asking questions about her phone. The following customer was looking to upgrade their phone and was treated with great customer service. Seems the manager there is more interested in earning a commission and bonuses on sales than customer service. Remember customer service builds customer base and returned customers. I ended up calling the 800 number while at the store and the rep on the phone was very helpful after getting to speak to a live person. And he apologized for the store's bad customer service.

Terrible customer service. We went to this store needing a new phone due to a broken one. The associate at the front of the store greeted us and asked why we were there. When we explained that we would like to purchase a new phone, he said they were booked with appointments the rest of the night and could try to get us in but couldn’t make any promises and mentioned other stores that we should try instead. We basically were pushed away. I can understand being booked and/or busy, but he showed zero interest in helping us.

Activated a phone through the virtual store and it didn’t work. Took it here after the Danville store wanted to charge me a second activation fee. I was greeted walking in the door and they had the phone working in 5 minutes. Worth the drive.

This would be no stars if possible. My brother in law died in February of 2023. For 7 months my sister has tried to get the account switched to her name. After so much distress to her from this loss I am her power of attorney to handle business/financial matters and her healthcare. Today I went to the Verizon store at Towne center in Champaign il. I spoke to a person named Carolyn. I explained the situation. She had no interest in the death certificate or POA papers. She was rude and informed me I couldn’t change the name of the person on the bill. After waiting 45 minutes for her to treat me with complete disrespect she told me I had to call a 888 number. The 888 number says I have to log in. I don’t have log in because he is dead. I ask to have my email used on the account as my sister does not do email or texts. After leaving the store I received an email with my brother in laws name to log in and verify email change. Since he is dead I do not have his log in. Once again the whole process has failed my sister. I can not recommend anything about Verizon’s service. It is sad.
