“I am so grateful for Resurrection Preschool. Ms. Jen and Ms. Jenny are caring, attentive, and dedicated to creating a safe, engaging environment for kids to grow academically, socially, and emotionally. The classroom is absolutely adorable and is an excellent place for kids to build a strong foundation for kindergarten and beyond. In addition, the faith-centered environment is a welcome addition to the standard preschool curriculum. My family couldn’t be happier having this school close to home.”
“I've been going here since Oct 2018 now, and really like this church! Friendly community atmosphere. Great place for families.
Nov 2019 - I am still attending here, and still really enjoy this church! Great preaching, good fellowship on Thursday night small groups every 7 pm.”

“In February 1892, in what was then called West Hammond and Sobieski Park, Ill., now called Calumet City, a new parish was created under the name of St. Andrew the Apostle. Today,St. Andrew the Apostle Church has diverse ethnicity among its people such as Polish, German, African-American, Italian, Hispanic, and others. Combined with Our Lady of Knock Site to form Jesus Shepherd of Souls parish.”
“Like it's namesake, the Spirit of God is present. I began attending spirit of God Fellowship after covid. It took me a while to get used to it because of the Ministries I had previously been at. However the Lord began to show me from 1st Corinthians the 12th chapter about the body of Christ and the different Administrations. Sogf is not trying to be like others. They are doing what God has them doing. And I love it. Anybody reading this I invite you to visit. And may the Lord continue to bless you richly!”
“Beauty of Holiness church embodies Christian values, creating a warm and welcoming environment for all who enter its doors. From the moment I stepped inside, I was embraced by a sense of love, acceptance, and fellowship that has only deepened with each visit.
The sermons delivered by Pastor DeAngelo Anderson are not only deeply insightful but also profoundly uplifting. They provide guidance and inspiration, reminding us of the power of faith and the importance of living a life serving others and God. The messages resonate long after the service has ended, guiding us through life's challenges with unwavering hope and faith.
One of the hallmarks of Beauty of Holiness is its strong sense of community. Members are encouraged to connect, support, and uplift one another through small group gatherings, volunteer opportunities, or outreach programs. The bonds formed within this community are meaningful and reflective of Christ's teachings on love and unity.
Moreover, Beauty of Holiness is committed to positively impacting beyond its walls. Through various outreach initiatives, charitable efforts, and mission work, the church demonstrates its dedication to serving those in need and spreading God's love to all corners of the world.
In summary, Beauty of Holiness is more than just a place of worship; it is a beacon of faith, hope, and love in our community. I am grateful for the opportunity to join such a wonderful congregation and look forward to continuing my faith journey alongside my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.
With heartfelt gratitude,”
“Experience God's love and power in the services. Opportunities for children through seniors to grow in their faith. Unconditional love for all. This is an ethnically diverse congregation. Come and grow with me.”
“So many things to do at the gate. 2 services 2 locations.. One at 9 and at 11. Small cafe stand inside. Womens, mens children's ministry. Food pantry, after school program housing for those in crisis. Also you can watch service online and pay tithes and get prayer request done online. Very diverse church and the worship is real. You wont feel judged or ashamed here. Come as you are. If you are lost or need someone to talk to are curious this is a great place to start. Also the childrens ministry is amazing.”
“I absolutely love this church! Have only been a member for 4 years . Congregation & Pastor friendly and God's love is prevalent here! I have never got so much out of bible study as we have here. Learned so much from Pastor Gumz. Try our church and feel the love here.”
“I visited many churches and kept returning here. The people are always friendly and welcoming, they serve vegetarian/vegan lunch after almost every service and everybody is welcome to dine. (Seriously. Everybody. I've seen homeless people from the community come in just to get a hot plate. And they were greeted just as warmly as any other visitor).
The new pastor, Pastor O'Rourke, is approachable and very down to earth, and preaches sermons that are actually relevant to real people of today. He also keeps his sermons brief and to the point (when he says he's going to be done in 30 minutes, he actually IS).
Also, the choir and Leon, the choir director, are so spirit-filled. I can't wait every week to hear them sing! Their singing really lifts my spirit. When I leave this church, I feel encouraged and ready to face the next week.
I love attending this church! I pray that this review brings others to visit and possibly find the church home they've been searching for. I certainly did!”
