“The second you walk into this place it’s worth it for the delicious smells! They have something for everyone here. The owners and staff are so friendly! If you need sweets for any reason this is the spot!”
“The salesperson was professional and informed. She was extremely helpful in our selections. Best of all, the chocolates were delicious. Pixies are my favorite but the brownie truffles were scrumptious.”
“This was a great find when I lived in Bridgeport. So much so that I drive in from the suburbs to get what I need. The ladies who work here are absolutely lively, always friendly and helpful. I buy raw nuts for granola and trail mix. Great prices and but in bulk and store.”
“Yes, they are a little expensive but are a nice delicacy. I remember going here with my grandma and getting caramel bonbons in the 90’s. They don’t make them anymore but they were great. Great memories. My kids and I go every once in awhile and spend too much. It is so good. It is a quiet and clean store when it isn’t any love holiday.”
“On 11/22/2024 @ 17:21 pm, Lili served us. My husband wanted 4, dark chocolate, vanilla filled buttercreams, I wanted 2 petite walnut, truffles. We got six, milk chocolate, chelated filled butter creams. The server did not bother to listen to our order, git it wrong, and did not want to be there. We want a full refund or gift card. The customer service was atrocious and the order all wrong!! I am increasing the stars, manager, gave 2 boxes of buttercreams, vanilla for the wrong order so ? happy.!”
“By far my favorite candy shop in the area— anywhere really!. Always so nice & helpful. The chocolate is so delicious! Their choc covered strawberries & bananas (usually special order at the Indian Head Park store) are amazing! Can’t say enough nice things about Old Fashioned candies! Their Berwyn store has more offerings but if you want something they’ll bring it over, if you ask.”
“Very friendly and honest owners! I always use them for my chair and tables rental and they’re always very professional and on time. They also have the best rental prices!”
“My employer sells Argires products in our cafeteria in Pennsylvania. Probably the best cheddarcorn I've ever had in my life. I've never been a huge fan of caramel corn, but for some reason I really like the way Argires makes it. If I'm ever going to or passing through Chicago I'm definitely going to come check this place out and stock up. Very tasty!”
“ACCESSIBILITY REVIEW: One handicap spot a few steps from the door. Flat entrance with low grade ramp. No automatic door. Wide aisles once inside with low countertops.”
“They have some really great piñata here! The quality was so good! We got 2 for my daughters' birthday party and they took the kids a while to break them, the adults even tried and were impressed with how strong they held up. Definitely will come back when I need more piñatas. The lady here was super nice and even mentioned they can make custom piñatas with a week or more notice, so that's cool to know”
“The staff are amazing and incredibly helpful. I've been to the outlet a few times to pick up WFC chocolate for our annual fundraiser and we wouldn't even think about hosting our event without WFC. Great selection, great prices, great staff!!!!”

“What high quality chocolates! A friend from Brookfield brought me a delicious assortment of your handmade chocolates, including pieces of English Toffee. Superb! Thank you for making such fine candy.”
“Everything you need for Mexican parties! Irons, plates, glasses, spices, candies, piñatas , etc. If you love to entertain and cook, they have your pots for tamales, discs for tripes, and plates for tacos.”
“Big daddy’s is by far the best fudge I’ve ever tasted. My favorite is the chocolate jack. Melt in your mouth creaminess, with the warmth of the whiskey. I give it as gifts and that’s the one everyone wants. Delivers every time!!!”
“I have been coming here since the old owners owned it. The new owners have owned it for 18 years. I went there last night, and the owners daughter and another associate Kim, were working. It was Kim’s first night. She was awesome. So friendly. Kudos to Kim. The owners daughter was so kind. Was very patient with Kim being her first day. I recommend this place especially if you don’t want to drive to Indiana for a candy store in bulk. Thanks for sticking around all these years.”
“I recommend this location for your piñata needs! The staff is so helpful and friendly and really took the time to make my buying experience a positive and happy one.The piñata was “a hit”!”

“This store takes me back to my childhood, the cups and bowls made from barro (clay) like my mom used in her kitchen long ago. A variety of piñatas and "Mexican" candy to fill them. Wooden utensils and large ollas (pots). I will mostlikely return again and again, the owner is helpful & friendly too.”
“I would give 10 stars if I could! The woman who helped me was as sweet as the candy they sell,,very personable and friendly,,I wish more people would be so nice,,really made me smile,
Parking: Lots of spots”
“Friendly staff that treats you like family! It is rare when I write a review about a place that I actually like! I love Villa's Nuts & Candy. My husband and I were so overwhelmed by all of their products and we kept asking for an additional ounce or half ounce of something, we kept adding to our order, and Maricela was more than nice. I ordered chocolate covered strawberries and tons of nuts!”
“It's the Notorious Fanny May! Terrific variety of mouthwatering chocolate, caramels, nuts, creams. A scrumptious bite for every occasion. If you haven't already, make it your next stop.”
“Trinidads-Pixies-Dark Chocolate Vanilla Buttercreams-Turtles-Mint Meltaways-Peppermint Bark- Toffees-Chocolate Cherries- Colonial Assortment .....and the list goes on and on; Chicagoland and the country has been blessed to have this particular brand over ? years ---- Holidays or any special occasion wouldn't be the same without Fannie May.”

“This place used to have a lot of more variety it looks smaller they still have a little bit of a variety but if you're looking for a lot of Mexican candy I recommend it but they have a smaller variety than they did before parking is paid street parking”
“This is the only place to get cheese popcorn! If you like heavily coated cheese popcorn like I do, this is the place to go! I’ve never had anything I didn’t like and the people are so kind here. I love supporting this family owned shop!”
