4535 W Armitage Ave, Chicago“sea salt caramel was my favorite. the chocolate covered strawberry was juicy, sweet with thick chocolate. my friend got some turtles, horchata and a few other things. i enjoyed trying the different chocolates.”
9AM - 11:30PM
1960 N Western Ave, Chicago“Great historic ice cream and candy shop in Chicago. We came at a busy time and had to wait awhile for service. We had the classic Turtle sundae and it was good. I found the decor to be the most charming of all, although it sits on the border between kitschy and vintage.Kid-friendliness: There were lots of kids there”
“LOVE THE PICKLE WITH CHAMOY ! Delicious.*The corn had too much water and was not drained before putting all the ingredients together. But I'll try again soon.Love supporting dreamers ?”
“I stop here religiously every time I come to Chicago. The staff members are not consistently knowledgeable but they are always super friendly. The space is quiet and small. I wish it was a little more alive with how great/hip all their products are. 2/3 times we were offered samples. All of their products are delicious and fare well as gifts. I have never had anyone disappointed with a gift from here. A little overpriced on the holiday items but everything else is priced well for the quality of chocolate. The refrigerated chocolates melt in your mouth but for obvious reasons aren't great for traveling.”
“I have been a fan of their chocolates since my days as a Catholic elementary school student awhile back. As one would expect, some of their items are sold in bulk and at a reduced price for various reasons. However, the wonderful employees of this shop are helpful and will allow you to try a sample before you purchase. If you like it, good! If you don't, you don't! The store is very clean and neatly organized. I have never had a bad experience shoppping at this outlet store.”
“Huge convention center! Very well maintained, good location near public transportation. I was here for MRO Americas, a big commercial aviation show. Disappointed with restrooms though, only at one location so you have to walk a lot to get there.”
“My father started going here at least 30 years ago for peanuts for the squirrels. Before he died he made me promise I would continue. My family has had this building since 1922. So now I go here for squirrel food too. They specially order the peanuts in the shell with no salt for me. For the squirrels you say??? Yes! When they couldn’t get the nuts during the pandemic, I ordered from Amazon. Easier? Sure. But I got food moths galore!!!”
“If you like chocolate, nothing should stop you from visiting Mr. Kite's. Everything here is amazing, but the milk chocolate salted caramels are my particular favorite! The proprietors are absolutely lovely, and visiting the shop is always a delight!”
“The chocolate covered peanut butter balls..... To. Die. For!Amy, my husband and I were at the Toast to Ravenswood wine walk. We bought way too much, but every bit was fantastic! Thank you so much for recommending the peanut butter balls.”

5352 W Devon Ave, Chicago“I normally don't write reviews, but the owner is just so kind and gives you plenty of samples, he also makes the best chocolate! Great place to go for retro candy and tea I haven't seen anywhere else, highly recommend!”
“Stopped by today 3pm-ish on a cold and dreary Sunday (4/7/2024). Cecilia had a bright and cheerful spirit and treated me like a rock star. I can’t say enough about her exceptional customer service from the moment I walked in the door. Great store with too many great candy options. I purchased a large sampler of candies to share with work friends. Big Smile!!! 5 stars is not enough.”
“My only concern was the employees not keeping an eye on the kids. Very disgusting to see parents not watching their own kids which then that job falls on the employees. Kids digging in the bins with their hands and grabbing the tongs, not the handles, and digging around in the candy.”
3 - 9PM
7000 N Western Ave, Chicago“This is a great place to help that sweet tooth in all of us. The frozen custard dishes are amazing as are the baked goods. They also have a candy section that is like a walk down memory lane. You will see candies that you haven't seen in years (or decades). Well worth the trip no matter how far away you are.”
“The Wrigley is a historic skyscraper on N. Michigan Ave. just north of the Chicago River. Built between 1920-24, it is an elaborately designed building with two towers connected by full second floor and higher floor covered bridge. The towers are 21 stories and 30 stories in height. The south tower has an embedded clock face on each side and spire. It is an impressive skyscraper that fits nicely within the Chicago Skyline at the Magnificent Mile and Chicago River.”
10:30AM - 5PM
2550 W 26th St, Chicago“This store takes me back to my childhood, the cups and bowls made from barro (clay) like my mom used in her kitchen long ago. A variety of piñatas and "Mexican" candy to fill them. Wooden utensils and large ollas (pots). I will mostlikely return again and again, the owner is helpful & friendly too.”
“I went to Teuscher Chocolates in Chicago to check out specifically their champagne truffles. They were truly awesome!! However, I was disappointed to learn that they don't make most of their products on-site, they're more an outlet for European chocolates. They were fine but not really special, especially for the price. The shop is charming and the gal working was good, professional... maybe pack my selections better, $84 tossed into a Chinese food container, cute & practical but a bit clumsy. Go for the champagne truffles, the rest... ”

3407 N Kimball Ave, Chicago“I am an over the road truck driver in a class 8 sleeper truck and a 53' dry van trailer that delivered here today. The gentleman in receiving Carlos Marquez was very friendly and very helpful and helped direct me while doing a difficult blind side back into their dock off of the road. He unloaded me quickly too. I'd be happy to deliver here again. Next time I will call them first and they will help stop traffic and I will pull forward into Home Depot parking lot and back down the road and do a driver's side back into their dock and I suggest my fellow sleeper truck drivers do the same.”
“Had three custom piñatas made for a wedding with a silly/fun theme. They made an absolutely beautiful unicorn with a rainbow mane and tail... It stands like it's posing for the camera, not stiff-legged. And two piñatas shaped like letters of the names of the bride and groom. They are almost too nice to destroy. Really nice people run the shop. The place is spotlessly clean and very welcoming. Above and beyond satisfied.”
“Friendly staff that treats you like family! It is rare when I write a review about a place that I actually like! I love Villa's Nuts & Candy. My husband and I were so overwhelmed by all of their products and we kept asking for an additional ounce or half ounce of something, we kept adding to our order, and Maricela was more than nice. I ordered chocolate covered strawberries and tons of nuts!”
“Lidia is awesome!!! We needed 12 chocolate boxes urgently and she saved the day by expertly curating them and giving them to us in record time. And she even told us the store story while at it!! I was surprised that these recipes have been successful for over 100 years.”
“Its so nice and cozy in there, and there's a wide variety of candy choices for incredibly cheap. Your able to get multiple pieces of candy for a $1.50. The owner of the store is so nice and sweet, and she overall makes the place so much better. For sure my new favorite candy place, and I will be going again. I recommend this place to any candy lovers.Kid-friendliness: the owner is a literal sweetheart to any kids. I love her so much.”
“Nice store, good service, organized, clean and convenient. Treats are good too. They have a good sugar free selection as well for those who must have sugar free. In the stockyards right off of Pershing. Great little break stop for those who work in the stock yard. I recommend checking it out if you're in the mood for some sweets.”
