57th Street Books is a fun, funky, and quaint general bookstore in the basement of a building. It has a huge selection, including many children's books, an extensive sci-fi/fantasy section, a good selection of cookbooks and poetry, and a mix of new and old titles. The cheerful place has the real patina of time with exposed brick and worn floors. You can wander its hallways and different rooms forever, almost getting lost. The staff are always helpful and great. As a non-profit part of Seminary Co-op, it is a gem of a bookstore to support.
