We rented a Ford Expedition Max from Alamo for four days when we visited Chicago for the yearly autoshow. Upon arrival at terminal 5, you take the lightrail to MMF, where major rental companies are located. At the Alamo counter, we were promptly assisted by enthusiastic and friendly staff. The formalities were quickly sorted, and the car was ready in the garage with only 900miles on it!After some instructions, we received the toll device at the exit. We were pleased with the car, and upon return, the process was efficient without any unpleasant surprises. This being our first rental after recent negative experiences with Hertz (where we hold the Five Star Gold status) in Europe, we wholeheartedly recommend Alamo in the US! We happily switch to Alamo for future rentals :-)

Sketchiest company I have ever dealt with and nonexistent customer service. I was due a refund in which they accidentally charged me rather than refunded me. Took me about 10 calls in which I was told I was not owed a refund and what not to finally get that charge refunded. The issue is that I am STILL OWED the initial refund that I was charged. I also have a clear invoice showing that I am due 106.21. I have repeatedly called in which they tell me I was either already refunded which I technically was but that was because I was charged instead of refunded… or I am placed on indefinite hold, sent to numbers that are not working, or hung up on entirely. I am about to give up which is sad because I have never known a company to do this. I am about to report them to the BBB.

First,I was on the airport about 6:30 am. I had a reservation,day before. When I came to take a car,an elderly gentleman greeted me, and after that the horror film begins. First, I waited an hour for the gentleman to find a reservation. he asked for my phone to check my information. He asked all that again even though he had it all written down. So, I think my beard grew back by the time he was done. When I told him that he had everything written down, he started shouting, he became very rude. Finally, when we finished, we got a car with a faulty key, so we lost extra time because of that. In total, two hours on the counter, really. It's not my first time renting a car, but definitely the last with this company.

Was told I was supposed to receive a refund back to my card. Went to the desk in which I was told they would send it to my card. Days later, no refund. I call and they say that they won’t send my refund even though I have an invoice showing that I am due a refund. Sketchy, schemey service.

Always Pick my Alamo and they told me this one hast great Gas milage... And they were right. Unfortunately this was First time I was Not able to choose my Car by myself because I needed toncross boarder to Canada and Just some Kinds of Car they let Go to Canada.Staff was efficient and very helpful. Car was Clean except Front window as Most Rental Cars are....

Excellent service. No line. The front desk agent was extremely nice and helpful. What a difference in price. $800/wk. a year ago. This year, an A6 Audi was $250. The only disappointment was that someone smoked in it.

I was able to get a rental car here 2 days before Thanksgiving, and it was honestly the most pleasant rental car experience that I’ve ever had. I was worried about picking up the car after hours (~11:45pm), but there was zero hassle. Even though the “official” Alamo counter was closed after 11pm, there was a sign directing us to its partner counter (National) where Alec (manager) was extremely friendly and helpful. Couldn’t recommend more.

We had a very smooth, high quality experience with Alamo rental car at Chicago O’Hare. Robert W was our customer service rep and he was top notch. Fast and very easy rental experience!
