Antique Resources is a true gem of a destination for European antiques of the highest quality. Visiting their vast showroom, one is immediately impressed by not only the friendly, courteous and knowledgeable Staff, but also the vast selection of carefully selected, superb items of exceptional beauty and historical value. The pricing is both fair and reasonable, particularly because of the quality and rarity of the items. If one has a love for the best and the beautiful, a visit is an absolute necessity.

Antique Resources is an incredible place — every visit feels like a discovery. The pieces are truly unique and full of history. Maribel is always so kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. She makes the whole experience even more special. One of my favorite places in Chicago!

We have a Tudor home over 100 years old. Our kitchen was last remodeled in the 1950s so we had green Formica with chrome edging etc. It was very important to us that our remodel was true to the style of the home. We searched far and wide for a number of items including a chandelier to place over the island. When we walked into Antique Resources we immediately knew the chandelier we found was the one for us. The store ownership was very knowledgeable and helped us trace the origin of the piece and helped us conclude that it was the right piece for our home. But we had a major reservation: would it fit the space. We sent Tony a drawing of our kitchen and he was able to propose a rendering of the chandelier in our actual kitchen! Only then were we able to visualize the piece in our home and knew that it would fit. And indeed it does. Tony helped us make the right decision and we love the piece we bought at Antique Resources! They were helpful, knowledgeable, and appropriately priced. We highly recommend them.

Stopped in looking for a very specific clock which, somehow, we ended up finding the most amazing one we’ve ever seen. The staff was very helpful and patient with us as we agonized over how we were going to ship it from IL to WA. We’ve worked out shipment now with the staff (Tony—thank you!) so now we just need to wait for the clock to arrive. If you’re just visiting like us, this store will work with you to arrange shipment. I found their prices extremely reasonable for the quality and variety of antique items, from clocks to paintings to furniture. I’m sure we will return to Chicago and if so, we will absolutely be back. Thank you, Antique Resources!

The store owner is insightful, kind and attentive to your needs. The boutique is filled with wonderful treasures that all can enjoy. The owner is equipped with knowledge on all her pieces and give impromptu history lessons on the pieces origins. Almost like a museum, it's a store you could spend hours in.

I bought a 1800s book from the store and i can say the experience was incredible! They employees went out of their way to help me find books on different subjects and to explain all the different objects they were selling, as an antiquity enthusiast and collector I recommend this place if you want good quality, historic and sometimes almost museum quality pieces!

This place is a treasure trove of lighting design. The staff is very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions along with making great suggestions.Do yourself a favor and stop by to see the MASSIVE collection of antique and vintage lighting instead of shopping big box stores and online for cookie cutter pieces.

Second time stopping by this marvel of a place. It really doesn’t get better than this when it comes to antique shops. Their selection is the best I have ever seen and the store is very well organized / easy to browse. A must for people who like antiques!

While purchasing an antique, remotely, presents challenges, Antique Resources provided exceptional knowledge, patience and care throughout the lengthy process from inquiry to purchase, crating, shipping, delivery and installation. This is a business with people that operate with the utmost honesty, integrity and trustworthiness. And the chandelier is absolutely stunning.

I called the number listed for this business on their website, to ask for a ***referral for a restoration***(as in, 'can you please refer me to a restorationist'), which BTW is something their website says they do in their FAQ section. (See the screen cap of their website below)The person who answered the phone said, "antique resources," and I politely asked for a restoration referral the extremely rude person on the other line angrily hung up on me. I have no idea who they were personally because they almost immediately slammed the receiver down.Even if their website is inaccurate, that is not how respectful adults communicate. I would not want to interact with that guy in person, glad I didn’t stop in IRL.EDIT: My guess, based on other reviews and my own experience is that someone working here has gruff manners and a tendency to regret the way they sometimes interact with people. One extra star for the attempt at damage control, if not very effective damage control.

If your in the market for antiques this is the place to go. I can not say enough about the customer service, selection of items, and the quality. Maribel and Katherine are both very professional and knowledgeable. Jerry was wonderful he made a special trip just to look at our light sockets. We purchased many chandeliers, wall sconces, mirrors, and a grandfather clock. Everything looks beautiful!

It’s been a long time that I am looking for cameo , I check this place on line and went In person to check items, Maribel show me all cameo they have, she is amazing that every single pieces they have know the history, and she spend time to teach me how to look for a original one , I purchased my first cameo, and I am really love it!!

I am relatively new to the antique world and was put off by a few recent experiences at dealers who were either pushy or condescending. Maribel and Jessica were incredibly helpful and informative, never influencing my decision in any way. I was able to find some great lighting and accessories and am happy to have a found a go-to for antiques.
