Terrible service, the insurance sends a check and they lost it inside the office, I have called them and 18 days after receiving the check, the delivery was confirmed and received in Illinois Chicago, no one has a clear answer as to what happened to the check, it takes a while to respond up to more than an hour and then no one knows how to report and they say I must continue waiting for it to be effective, while this bank continues to charge me direct payments, a complete disaster.

I'm an actor. I got booked for a job with a stipend. I cashed the check and it was fake. The fake casting director demanded most of the check back. BMO Harris frozen all accounts even the ones that weren't involved. They told me to file a police report which I did. They allowed me to take very small withdrawals for the last 2 weeks. Today which is around 3 weeks since they locked up my accounts. They still didn't complete their investigation. Today they refused to give me any money from my accounts and the bank teller just sat for about 45 minutes making phone calls doing nothing when I sat down with him. At that point I told him I want all my accounts liquidated and closed. Again he just kept making phone calls. I have no access to my 3 accounts anymore. I had to walk out the bank without even a penny of my money. I had to file complaint with the comptroller of Currency.

I stopped at this location to break a $100 bill. I was leaving to Mexico the next day and wanted to get 100 $1 bills for tipping. They were not able to break a $100 bill. I repeat, a bank was unable to break a $100 bill.

Does anyone work here anymore? My mother is currently in the hospital. I'm trying to become a user on her account so I can take care of paying her bills. After calling and speaking to a guy named "Paul" who had the heaviest foreign accent imaginable he told us this could not be done by him. This made absolutely no sense to me. He stated it had to be done by the local branch and proceeded to transfer us to the local branch. We spent about 30 minutes on the phone, it just kept us in a loop. This just goes to show how miserable this bank is. At a time we absolutely needed them, someone to answer we got nothing. If I could I'd have my mother bank elsewhere. Pathetic.

Jose Garcia, the manager of the Streeterville branch is extremely rude and aggressive. Several times I have called the customer service line to complain about this very nasty man. He has left deposits in the night deposit box for days, when I called to ask why they had not been picked up and deposited he yelled at me that I should be using the phone deposit or the cash machines. He stands behind the teller when I go into the bank and makes comments and is rude, over inspecting my deposit checks and taking an inordinately long time to do the deposit. Every time I go in this branch there is never the same teller twice, I can see why they move on as who could work for someone who is so shrill and just downright mean. I have never received any response to my complaints and am considering moving both my business and personal accounts to another bank.

Can't speak for the corporation itself, but the staff is very courteous, respectful, and friendly. Good group of folks.

As a corporate entity, BMO is known for running predatory services. That was true again here. After telling me a fee literally designed and structured to secretly and continually charge customers could be reversed, the branch manager Jose Garcia overturned that decision. In this age where technology can assist you at every turn, BMO has decided it values maximizing profit over it's customers. Unfortunately, that's true not only on the large scale level but also at the branch level.

This Bmo,, refused to cash my payroll check even though I'm a long time account holder and it had a number to call and verify funds. He told me I have to have that amount of money in my account to cover my payroll check. I called corporate and they said it was up to the bank to cash it or not. Every time I have gone in there this specific male teller is consistently lazy and won't help me in the slightest way if he would have to give any effort. Funny as this is my only check and I will have direct deposit next time but I'm switching banks and until then and will tell everyone I know do not go to that bank ever. Probably why it's always empty in there. Hope I never feel like I'm not irreplaceable at my job and get as lazy as he is either. I called and he refused to let me speak to the manager as corporate said to do.
