Great service at pick-up in Downtown Chicago, great service at Nashville Airport for an out of hours drop off (4am). The man at the airport could not have been more helpful. He knew we were uncertain about the process and went to great lengths to see us through to the terminal.

'Budget' in the name implies budget service. When returning this vehicle, their customer support lines were closed, the return garage was closed, and the garage that accepts after hour returns wasn't staffed. I tell you this to warn you. Use a different company. I was charged an additional $500 for the rental, due to flaws in their business practice. Customers shouldn't be treated this way and my recommendation is do not use this company for rental needs.

I really had a terrible experience renting a car with Budget. I rented the "Midsize Electric - Tesla Short Range Model 3 or similar" category for $236.70 and when I went to pick up the car they offered me "Intermediate Electric Chevrolet Bolt " much worse than a Tesla. When I was in the garage and approached an employee about the availability of a Tesla, he asked me to speak to his boss, a woman with short hair. This woman was extremely rude like I've never seen, she ran away screaming with the other employees so that they would never again ask a customer to speak to her about a car change, it was scary. She was extremely rude to me and said that the only option was the Bolt, I tried to explain to her that they were charging me more for a worse car and she ignored me. In the end Budget charged me $280.23. In short, they gave me a worse car, I paid more and I was treated extremely poorly by the person in charge of the garage. Budget never again, at Hertz Maybe you pay a little more but you will always have your car and good service

My experience with the employee this morning was rude. She claimed they don't accept chime credit an if you have someone to pay for you that can't happen either. The person who's renting has to have the credit card and the license. Which my partner has a disability that prevents him from ever driving. The lady wouldn't work with us at all. She claimed that she wouldn't get paid if she used my card. Which made entirely no sense.

DO NOT RENT FROM DOWNTOWN CHICAGO!I have FastTrack with budget and have previously had only great experiences. This pick up was a complete disaster. There were no cars available for the 30+ people who were there to pick up cars for which they had existing reservations. I learned from the staff that THIS IS COMMON at all of the non-airport locations in Chicago.The people at the desk at &north Clark street were lovely I’m very difficult circumstances. The people at ORD on return were also very helpful.Once I got a car, it was fine.This is a corporate problem.

Very disappointed with Budget. The amount of the final settlement was higher than the amount on my rental contract. The “base” price was higher and the sales tax was higher. The difference was significant. I am disputing the charge through my credit card company and waiting for an explanation from Budget. They appear to have very deceptive pricing practices. Unless they adjust the charge to be consistent with what they promised in the rental contract, I will never rent from Budget (or Avis) again.

Called to let them know my train would arrive past their close time of like 3pm on a weekday in Chicago, IL. Budgets in my small town in NC stay open 3 hours later than a busy area like chicago. Anways, I was "helped" by customer service agent Karina who was completely awful. Apparently there are no cars with 100 miles available via budget on a Tuesday. I will get off the train and be stranded. I will never in my life use budget ever again.

While I appreciated the budget-friendly options available, the wait time was a significant drawback. I found myself waiting in line for over an hour, which was quite inconvenient. I hope measures can be implemented to expedite the process in the future.

Dropped off vehicle with 1/2 tank (same level when picked up), charged 120$ for refueling, never received an invoice.Customer service said they did not have proof of fuel level and did not document it either.However, they weren't willing to reimburse the charge. Said it was company policy and I should provide proof that I re-fueled the car.

This location is top notch. The vehicles are very nice and well maintained. The prices are fair and the customer service is phenomenal. Picking up my rental I had the pleasure of being taken care of by Pam. Pam was thorough with rental details and has a incredible personality. Returning my rental was simple as there is customer service directing in this area as well. They too greet you with a pleasant demeanor. From start to finish....TOP NOTCH!Helpful hint: if you're not familiar with that area, leave early to give yourself some extra time. Also gps may get compromised when navigating on lower Wacker.

We reserved a car online from Budget at the North Loop Downtown Chicago office for 8/13/23 with drop off at Detroit Metropolitan Airport on 8/15/23. We were given the price of $166.98, which we prepaid before our trip to reserve our car and guarantee our transit to Detroit. Upon arriving at the North Loop Budget office on 8/13/23 we were met with a very long line of other customers who had reserved cars. We left to get lunch and let the line die down and came back and the line was even longer with irritated customers. The office was understaffed and after waiting for about an hour one of the employees, Tia, came out and told everyone in line that there were no more cars and that we would have to either go to Midway airport to get our rental car. We were told this despite the fact that we had already reserved and PAID for a car. When we inquired if Budget would have a shuttle to take us and at least a dozen other customers who had also already reserved and paid for a car to the airport, they said that was not possible and we could take the train or an Uber. Tia stated specifically our ORIGINAL reservations made online "would be honored at the other Budget office" when we arrived. After having already waited for over an hour we took the train to Midway airport with bags where we went to the desk that had no line and was properly staffed. While we were exhausted and angry from our time being wasted and reservation being disregarded getting a car at the airport was mostly seamless. This went for our entire trip including drop off at Detroit. That is UNTIL we got our bill that charged us an ADDITIONAL $360.60 for our trip!!! This is absolutely ridiculous when we were the ones inconvenienced by Budget who did not honor our original reservation. We were charged for an additional day for returning the car "an hour late" despite the fact that we got our car later than we reserved. WE had to take a train the airport. We DEMAND a full refund, this is nothing less than theft!!!

Quality/Quantity - Ordered a 4 door sedan, got an SUV.If you are following, we do not like traveling with a SUV, especially when using the car to drive out of state as it becomes a target for thieves. All they had were SUVs. Good news is that we had no problems on this trip.Easy and quick check-in, even easier and faster check-out.When we brought the car back, we got a text immediately and then an email receipt.Atmosphere - Downtown Chicago, much more convenient than having to go back to the airport to get a car. No bathrooms, so plan accordingly.Service - Good, quick, and efficient.We use Avis when in Las Vegas often.In Vegas, they have a Fast Break program where we can just walk to our car and drive out of the lot. And we would show paperwork and ID to security on our way out.Also, spouses drive free.Price - Approximately $50 a day.Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2006 and being a part of the S&P 400.2006 Cendant dissolved and split into 4 separate companies hence creating Avis Budget Group.2011 Avis/Budget acquired Avis Europe, reuniting the Avis and Budget brands.2012 Avis/Budget acquired Apex car rentals of New Zealand.2013 Avis/Budget acquired Zip Cars.2015 Acquired Maggiore Group, Italy's 4th largest vehicle rental company.

I rented a one way SUV from Chicago to L.A. for a business trip.The car I was given was amazing and the price even more so.The check in process was ok and the check out super fast.thank you for the brand new GMC Yukon Denali I was given. Amazing vehicle to drive for 2400 miles

Be careful, they can cancel your reservation and not tell you until the day before you are suppose to pick up the truck. They put this in the fine print as a way to get out of it.I am suppose to move tomorrow, made reservation over a month ago. Now no trucks available in my city.
