Build-A-Bear Workshop Chicago is a small, friendly store where customers can create their own plush toys by adding outfits, sounds, and scents. One popular feature is Record Your Voice, which allows for a custom 5-30 second voice message to be added to a plush, making it a special gift. The store also hosts fun parties that include a personalized furry friend, a Special Heart ceremony, games, and more, perfect for birthdays, office events, or community gatherings. Despite its smaller size and limited merchandise options, visitors often praise the friendly and kind staff who go above and beyond to ensure a great experience. Customers have enjoyed making plush toys and celebrating special occasions there, even if they find the store a bit empty in terms of clothing and accessories. The store has recently been cleaned and revamped, with cheerful employees interacting well with children. While some mention the absence of bathroom facilities and fewer merchandise choices than expected, many still find the store a wonderful place for hands-on fun and memorable moments. Overall, Build-A-Bear Workshop Chicago offers a fun, interactive experience for all ages.
Nice place wish they had shirts with the state names. But it’s nice for the kids.

Took our girl here to redeem a gift card from her birthday last week, she had so much fun, and they had one of the Mini Beans she was missing from her collection too! Really kind staff and helpful, nice location too.
