Chicago Actors Studio is one of the finest top professional performance arts acting training schools located in the midwest, with bi-coastal affiliates in Los Angeles and New York. It is a school recommended by casting agents, talent agencies, directors, and producers nationwide. The studio offers workshops and classes taught in levels such as beginner, intermediate, and advanced professional. Workshops are taught by professionals actually working in film, commercials, industrials, and mainstream television.
The classes provide an eye-opening experience, designed to bridge the gap between stage acting and the unique demands of on-screen performance. There is a strong emphasis on audition techniques and on-camera technique, covering the importance of subtlety, precision, hitting marks, framing, and adjusting energy levels. The focus on audition preparation is invaluable, working through common scenarios like self-tapes and in-person auditions. Students learn to quickly adjust to direction and make strong first impressions.
A major highlight is the personalized feedback and realistic audition simulations, which offer hands-on practice and help build confidence. The studio also offers acting classes for kids and teens, where young actors get film opportunities, audition training, and master classes. Scholarship opportunities are available for all students, with no one turned away for lack of pay. Classes, including improv, focus on thinking on your feet, communication, and provide a supportive environment for growth from beginner to professional actor.
