Green Element Resale is a Chicago-based thrift store that champions sustainability by offering pre-loved furniture, clothing, appliances, and antiques. Their mission is to extend the life of usable items and minimize environmental impact through resale. The store is large with a variety of products, including lots of books and furniture. Shoppers describe it as a great find with friendly and helpful staff. The store appears more organized than most thrift stores, making for a good visual shopping experience with a decent selection, where customers can find good items like light sweaters or a vintage jacket. However, the store is not the cheapest, with furniture often on the pricey side for a thrift store. A common criticism is a lack of transparent pricing, as almost nothing has a price tag and prices can seem arbitrary. There is not much of a vintage clothing selection, with lots of clothes from common brands instead. The store also does not have a restroom for shoppers. Despite these negatives, many customers have never had a bad experience, shop there frequently, and find the entire experience truly awesome, praising the unique selection not found elsewhere in Chicago.
Super cute store and many prices were reasonable. Only complaint is that many things didn’t have price tags

This place is wacky. Things are either way reasonably priced or astronomically high. Want a coat that will need washing and patching? $30. Yoga block? ¢50. Make it make sense tbh. Credit card minimum is $10 so bring cash. I will say that the place itself if very clean.

The staff are very friendly & personable. The prices are very reasonable, especially the clothing. My mom & friends are frequent visitors to the free bin.
