“We worked with Scott Baish. He was friendly and knowledgeable. I told him that I was looking for a very firm mattress with limited plush/give to address backaches that I get sleeping on a 2-year-old Saatva Classic. He asked for our budget and showed us four options to try. I ended up getting a Stearns & Foster Estate Ultrafirm mattress. We came on a Sunday and delivery was set for Tuesday. We felt no pressure to purchase while at the store. Delivery was seamless. It’s been a week of uninterrupted sleep with no backaches on the new mattress. I am very satisfied with the service and I hope the quality of this mattress holds up for a while!”

“I was recommended Chicago Discount Mattress by a coworker. I purchased a Satvaa queen and a king mattress. Mike provided excellent service, Despite my last-minute request, he promptly delivered both mattresses the following morning. Both mattresses were in excellent condition, though the queen had a few minor scuffs on the side. This wasn't a concern for me as my bedding easily covers it. Additionally, the mattresses were a steal compared to paying full price! After a few weeks, I can say I'm enjoying quality sleep and no longer waking up with shoulder pain. “A very overdue review, but my experience at Futons-N-More was incredible from beginning to end. Do not underestimate this small store – they have plenty of options available for both futon frames and futon mattresses; not only can you get a wide variety of futon frame designs, you can also choose from a variety of finishes and colors. Greg was perhaps the most helpful and delightful salesperson I have ever dealt with. He knows more about futons than you could possibly imagine. He is also patient and kind, he was willing to explain the ins and outs of each model, and he happily allowed me to take my time exploring every option available. This store will NOT sell you anything you don't need; Greg asked me what my top priority was (price, design, or durability). Although I was willing to pay any price for a futon frame and mattress that will last for years to come, Greg steered me away from a costlier option, instead directing me to a lower-priced option that, in his experience, was even more durable and long-lasting. (And I am glad I followed his expert advice – this futon (the Portofino) is SOLID and I can tell it will be around for a long time!)
When my new futon came in, they called me and asked if I would like them to deliver it and set it up on the same day – which was a pleasant surprise, considering that it was the day before Thanksgiving! They wanted me to have the option of showing off my new furniture for the holiday. They were courteous, cautious, and respectful as they delivered and assembled my futon. They did excellent work, and they were incredibly fast, too!
Futons-N-More has been in business in Chicago for a few decades now (first in Hyde Park, now in Buena Park/Lakeview), and they have loyal, repeat customers. I now know why. Their knowledge, customer service, and inventory are top tier, their prices are fair, their goods are high quality, and they are honest. PLEASE shop local and support small, family-owned businesses like Futons-N-More — it is businesses like these that make our neighborhoods and our city great, and that ensure high-quality products are available to us (much better than anything you could get off the internet or in a warehouse-style store). Shop at Futons-N-More and you will NOT regret it one bit, I promise!
