This is an oxymoron of many thangs. They get fruits, vegetables different salads, GENEROUS FOOD DONATIONS (I saw the drop off over 30 big boxes worth of food) it seems that the STAFF grocery shops in the Olive Branch for themselves and gives the homeless and families SCRAPS unpurpose no lie. I would see them come downstairs with bags of snacks right after they receive it. Every morning it cold cereal and OLD milk!!! Lunch swine sandwiches with oatmeal no lie!!!Melanated(black people, my so called skinfolk)need to Stop showing EVIL!!! How is that they get FUNDING and it's trash and rats every where single women in the basement prison style with no blanketsor pillows paper thin mattresses and treated like we are NOTHING???? Get it TOGETHA AND I REBUKE YOU IN THE MIGHTY NAME OF YEHUSA AMENI know others run the place, but um the face I see is my skin color not having any FEAR of Our Creator and our Savior real talk! Ms. Nelson doesn't help with resources, or she helps who she wants on the low she has have favoritism!!! They need to revamp the staff and the organization IMMEDIATELY IN THE MIGHTY NAME OF YEHUSA AMENBeing there recently I was DISGUSTED at how they yelled at us like we are NOTHING we are ALLL OUR FATHER GOD S CHILDREN AND BEINGS AND YOU NEEDED SOMEONE TO TELL THA TRUTH AND SHAMED THE DEVIL (S)!!!! And to the chunky greedy staff STOP EATING THE FOOD THATS THERE FOR THE FAMILIES and buy your OWN !!!! Awesome. Free bed free food free foot rest. Good people here doing God's work. Level 4 good bed. Free time at all time. Be careful with leaving because you get removed. Older guys from a time of Civil rights activism are mad.

I unfortunately had to stay there a few days and it was the worse. No doors to the rooms and they make Women with children wait outside in a alley to be let in. Don’t get me wrong it beats being out on the streets but they need to have the city come in and do some work

Extremely prejudice staff, turned my family away because we were white, then once investigated, changed their tone and said a bed was available. Turns out, at minimum 5 or more rooms were available as we saw this ourselves. Targeted my family in race based manner after our second arrival as well in a very aggressive manner at that. Violent staff, you get screamed at in such a hyper confrontational manner, I've never seen such behavior in grown adults. The last time I saw this type of of immature, loud, abrasive conduct was in middle school. The adult staff are essentially emotionally unstable violent children, no logic exists in their mind, they live to ridicule.

I have 3 things to say about the place, I'll go from bad to good.1. To the Olive Branch staff: We're broke, not violent. Half of these rules, and most importantly, the way y'all enforce them is completely uncalled for. I understand that we live in a society where looking down on/mistreating homeless people is normalized behavior, however, when you take a job at a HOMELESS SHELTER, this outlook is unacceptable and should be left at the door. I know y'all wouldn't appreciate being on the receiving end of the tone you take with us. As an employee of a nonprofit public service organization, I also know that y'all are just a paycheck and a bad day away from our predicament anyway... so be nice. Stop treating us like pesky hotel guests. We live here, and are not inconveniencing you by asking for water or toilet paper, or by making you aware of maintenance issues. Lastly, in the same vein of respecting homeless people, throw away your "beggars can't be choosers" mentality. I don't know if y'all been told, but your preferences and tolerances don't go away when you lose your home. Please take into consideration dietary restrictions, y'all have way too many clients with health issues not to, and again, they are not inconveniencing you by bringing these things to your attention. Dietary restrictions are serious and could be a matter of life and death, treat them as such.2. To leadership: No amount of chores will make our living quarters clean by any legitimate health code standard. Invest in the necessary repairs already.3. To staff: While I hate your attitudes, I fully understand that the work you do is taxing in more ways than one, and I appreciate you for doing it. I see that y'all run this place the best way you know how with limited resources, and I really appreciate that y'all consistently provide 3 prompt meals a day for us. Thank you.

I volunteered for the Olive Branch Mission. While there I observed how clean the building was and how great the staff is helping those in need!

Sewage backup in multiple bathrooms, has not been addressed in nearly a week. When questioned on a fix, staff argues and victim-blames. Also likely drug activity happening when men should be asleep on floor 2.
