My sister rescued 6 puppies from Puerto Rico and after contacting well over a dozen shelters one tail at a time came through with care, compassion and guidance. Foster families you are amazing- thank you cannot begin to express our gratitude. I am committed to becoming a life long donator!

Fine for the most part but the child didn't include batteries

We just adopted our Maggie girl/ wedgie. The process went really smooth. Everyone there was really nice. If we decide to make another addition to our family we will definitely look here first!

About One Tail at a Time - Adoption Center
One Tail at a Time ("OTAT") is an animal rescue committed to lowering euthanasia rates in the greater Chicagoland area and assisting other communities in need. OTAT focuses on rescuing dogs and young kittens from overburdened shelters, caring for them in foster homes, and finding each one a loving, adoptive home. In addition to pet adoption, One Tail at a Time aims to make pet ownership a positive and accessible experience by providing comprehensive support to its adopters and through outreach programs to assist Chicago families in need.
