My recent interactions with PNC Bank in Chicago, Illinois, have left me with mixed feelings. It's a bank that provides the basic services you'd expect, but there's room for improvement. On the positive side, the staff at this branch have generally been polite and helpful. They've assisted me with my banking needs, and I appreciate their willingness to answer questions and offer guidance. However, the main area where PNC Bank could improve is in efficiency and technology. The wait times, especially during peak hours, can be quite long. It feels like the bank could benefit from more staff or streamlined processes to reduce these wait times. Moreover, their online banking and mobile app are decent but could be more user-friendly and feature-rich compared to some other banks. I've encountered occasional glitches and difficulties navigating their online platforms, which can be frustrating. Overall, PNC Bank in Chicago provides adequate banking services, but there's room for improvement in terms of efficiency and technology to enhance the customer experience. It's a decent option if you value in-person banking assistance, but there are more tech-savvy banks out there if you prioritize digital banking.

Had to wait ten minutes at the counter with no one else in line, while the manager, who "couldn't help because she wasn't signed in" (sign in then?) and an apparently new person, didn't help, and all the work was left to one person who apparently was the workhorse of the group, as she was handling a window transaction the whole time. The second my transaction was done the manager was behind the counter helping someone, so she could have helped me, but chose to just let me wait instead. Be respectful to your costumers please.

Al Martinez actually refused service to an actual member today due to racially, profiling and banking, while black from what I completely understand he is the exact embodiment of how people always voice their opinion about PNC Bank, and this man should be fired, but of course he would not because PNC Bank supports this disgraceful behavior

I wish I could give zero stars. If you are looking for a bank where the branch manager does not know the banks own rules, this is the one for you. And should you decide to ask the branch manager (Iryna) any questions, be prepared for her to speak to you condescendingly and raise her voice at you. And then when that happens, and you bring the concerns to Iryna’s manager (Pietro Spizzrri) he will speak to you very politely, tell you everything you want to hear, fill the conversation with platitudes, and then he will never contact you again. It is unconscionable that a manager doesn’t know the rules of the organization, and even more so that a regional director who has worked for the company for over 25 years to not care that one of his reports is disrespecting and raising their voice at customers. All because I dared to ask a question, and did not find Iryna’s “I don’t know” answers to be acceptable. Take your money elsewhere. Perhaps somewhere where you as a customer are respected and heard. BEWARE!

I had my accounts at a big bank that offered zero customer service. I walked into PNC to set up all my accounts there based on a recommendation as to the ease of using their online banking. The staff, Christina, Al, and Iryna the manager, were phenomenal to work with and they went above and beyond to get my accounts set up in a specific way to best suit my business and personal needs, and it was all done in a timely manner. If you are looking to make a switch to another bank I highly recommend going to this branch first.

On two separate occasions an older black gentleman is guarding the ATM and attempting to steal the withdrawn money from the bankers. This issue has been brought to light numerous times and the man is free and boxes those withdrawing money out in attempt to intimidate him. The branch managers and staff do not care.
