Sky’s Beverage Depot is a well-stocked store with a great selection of liquor, wine, and beer, offering a lot of variety and many chilled options. The building is always clean and fully stocked. However, some find the prices a little overpriced and note that beer can sometimes be past its expiration date. Customer service receives mixed reviews: some describe the staff as friendly, chill, and fast, while others find the owners impolite, purely transactional, and often talking loudly on the telephone during transactions. It is considered a convenient and welcome spot in the neighborhood.
The guys who work here are a couple of the most nice, genuine people you will meet in Chicago. No doubt they’ll move on, but as of 2026, you can’t find better in my experience.

A little overpriced and sometimes the beer is well past the expiration date. My biggest gripe is the store owner is constantly on the phone talking loudly during transactions and never offers any sort of greeting or familiar acknowledgment particularly with how often I’m in here.
