The shop was so welcoming. Everything was so personalized and customizable. Honestly one of our favorite vendors to work with, everything felt curated and special but not fussy or overpriced. Some of the bottles we ended up serving are definitely going to be go-tos in our house in the future.”

“Kol Tuv is a hidden gem on Devon Ave in Chicago. It is a specialty grocery store that carries an eclectic variety of foods that cater to all different populations. They have all the items you would find in a typical grocery store plus gluten free, dairy free, kosher, gourmet etc. When you go, you must check out the selection of chocolates and candies. The staff is friendly and helpful and the store is immaculate. This store makes grocery shopping fun and exciting! Hope you love it as much as we do!”

“Sometimes it's hard for me to try the relatively new places. I'm decidedly old school when it comes to burger joints or any joint for that matter. All the bells and whistles and n many of the new spots just don't add up to good grub meat ch less great grub. Not the case with Bitter Pops by a long shot. Sure they are kinda new and are a good looking joint with all the bells and whistles, great decor, nice bar, etc. etc. you just assume the burgers are gonna be just meh. The smash burger here is pretty bomb is all I can say. A very righteous burger in a land of too many average burgers. The double smash patties are cooked just right and crispy on the edges. Topped with the bare minimum you get to actually taste meat and not a slather of toppings. They ration of smash burger to toppings is on time. Accompanied by a side of house chips is the right move. You don't even need to add anything on this smash burger. I'm be if those guys who always adds ketchup mayo whatever. Not so with Bitter Pops burger. The service is excellent as well. We sat at the bar with a really cool and pretty female bartender. I wish I recall her name but I'll get it next time. She was knowledgeable about the offerings and super friendly. That's half of the experience and she hit it outta the park. Try these folks at Bitter Pops you won't regret it.”
“What’s not to love about this shop? The owner and team are always super approachable and excellent with recommendations. I’ve had nothing but the most delicious (for me) wines from here because they know what they’re talking about! Don’t bother with the wine at WF. Get your charcuterie there and then head to Independent Spirts.”

“It is so clear that this is a passion project. Everything in this store is carefully thought out. Nearly every bottle has a handwritten paragraph about it. There is so much variety packed into one little shop without the snobbery you might find at comparable places. Price points at all levels, too! Also, Thursday wine tastings are so much fun! I have learned so much about wine from going to these tastings when I can. Everyone that works here is super knowledgeable and patient. My husband and I bring our 3 young kids and everyone is always so cool and understanding. I would give it more stars if I could!”

“Very friendly everyone is very helpful even when they're busy, and I must say they're are always busy but still have the time to help me out if not anyone else. Which I really appreciate it alot. The shelves are always stock up to the max and I have no problem finding anything I need and /or want on whatever that I need. I live close to this place and this is my first and go-to fast store to shop for things like beer,cigarettes, milk and snacks little stuff like that. The only thing I wish that I wish they would have is to accept the link card, but they don't. I think they would have more business if they did accept the link card but it's all good though. I really really like this store as being a go-to number 1 place to visit if you need a quick bite of something to eat or drink of anything like that.”

“This is the first time I actually made a stop to purchase something at Gold Coast Market. I entered the market and I was interested in the selection of bottles they offered. I was a little skeptical because all of the bottles were behind the counter which was slightly disappointing because I like to scan and read labels. The stock seemed like it had better days but the gentleman behind the counter was very nice and an employee off duty stopped in looking for her sandwich. The clerk made it seem like someone took it but the shortly before the woman was to leave, the clerk revealed her food behind the counter. We All had a good laugh! So that put me in a better mood so I purchased a pint of khalua and a bottle of Tito's vodka to make white Russians. I also perused the aisles before I made my purchase and it was up to my local liquor store standards. Lots to look at and there even is deli on the west side of the street for sandwiches. Good look!”
“I brought a group of friends visiting the city to the mall for some gift shopping and this place was a sweet surprise. Piper and the other employee who's name I didn't catch provided excellent customer service and recommended some good gift choices. A bit pricey but for unique gifts I'll absolutely be bringing visitors back or visiting myself.”
“I went in looking for cachaça— hard to find, but I thought to myself, “if anywhere has it, they have it here.” Looked for a while to no avail, and although the cachaça wasn’t in the main section, the very helpful staff didn’t allow me to leave until I’d found what I was looking for, and called the owner to locate where the cachaça was and make sure I left with what I needed. “Have shopped here for a few years now and love this place, so glad to have them in the neighborhood. Today I went in and basically accused them of a mistake from the day before. They graciously explained how it wasn't really possible and I quickly saw that my claim was silly. At no point did they make me feel bad or anything. I have no doubt that any of the guys working here would have provided the same kind service.
Love how there's always multiple new and interesting things in the coolers (tbh I'm not a wine/spirits person). When I've asked questions on my picks, they always have answers. Surprising, given the selection they have.
