Taste Food & Wine is a local boutique store with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere that gives a family vibe. The store offers an interesting and excellent selection of wines, beer, cider, and spirits at very fair and excellent prices, with a good assortment that often has a neat story behind it. The staff is truly beyond lovely, providing superior hospitality. They are incredibly knowledgeable, kind, warm, and welcoming, trained to help find the perfect bottle for any occasion and will not steer you wrong. The experience is enhanced by a fantastic selection of cheeses and chocolates, offering great bites like a perfect cheese plate for pairing. There is a cute and delightful outdoor patio area to enjoy. The store hosts Wine Tastings on Mondays and Fridays, Craft Beer Tastings on Saturdays, and bimonthly Craft Spirits Tastings. Monthly wine classes are taught by the owner, a Certified Wine Educator, and bimonthly cider classes are led by a Chicago cider guru. The space is lovely for events, with all attendees having nothing but good things to say. Its location right off the square and near the Jarvis red line stop makes it super convenient.
