Hidden gem! We booked the room with the Lake View and it was easily the best decision of our Chicago trip. Stunning views from 40th floor, great location, nice rooms and decent breakfast. What else could you ask for :) There’s a loop stop very close by. But I also recommend using the Divvy bikes station next to the hotel to roam around the downtown.

We did love the hotel. We rented a room that has the lake view during the 4th of July. It was beautiful and we got to see some fireworks. The first night was quiet, but the second night there were kind of loud background banging and yelling which supposedly a quiet hotel. Our room was clean, so that was good. The hotel was close to almost everything so we love that. I would definitely recommend.

I can’t say enough great things about this place. It’s on the 40th floor and the view is amazing. The room was clean and nice. They have a free breakfast. Also there are a lot of places that have Buckingham in the name so be careful our Uber driver dropped us off at the wrong place and we had to call another Uber.

They have a hidden or junk "resort fee" - $10 a day to use the elevator and the gym or something. Nowhere was this listed on the website I booked with. It's completely unethical to try and squeeze extra pennies out of customers like this. Shame on you!

This is a hidden gem in downtown Chicago! It's on the 40th floor of a corporate building. This fact makes it super safe and amazingly quiet! The service was spectacular! Rooms are bright and super clean with wine, beer, soda, and snacks available. A light breakfast is also available to guests. Parking in the garage on the property was excellent, monitored 24 hours, and you got a discount with your hotel stay!

The Buckingham Hotel is a boutique hotel on the 40th floor in the Financial District. Because it's in the Financial District, many amenities are unavailable on weekends, but there are plenty of restaurants and experiences within walking distance, or a quick transit on the L. There was a bit of a learning curve with parking and entry, but everyone was very friendly and helpful in navigating. The room was really charming and the views are fantastic (we had a great view of the Willis Tower)! Very cozy bed and bedding and a good sized bathroom. They have a great guest lounge with coffee and some snacks available all day, and a continental breakfast in the morning. We had a great stay and would absolutely recommend and stay again!

I really want to give this place 5 stars because it has really nice view and the location is ideal. The bathroom is spacious and luxurious. The service is quite nice as well. The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is because the bed is not comfortable. Both me and my husband woke up feeling sore in our bones.

The views from the room were amazing! Getting to that room was very challenging to say the least. The parking is either under the building, in a secure lot, or across the street in the public garage. But getting from that parking to the actual hotel, that is located on the 40th story of a fully locked and secure building, was frustrating. You have to go outside and up a staircase to the front entrance, speak to the security desk who calls the hotel to confirm you are allowed in, go through the gates, up to floor 39, switch elevators, go up to floor 40, and finally you are at the lobby of the hotel. And checking out and making it back to your car in the secure lot was even worse! They definitely need to update their instructions for parking on their website and could even give out a map of some kind upon check in. The room itself was amazing though. Comfortable bed, huge bathroom, the best views!

We travel 2-3 times a summer from Wisconsin to Chicago to enjoy the many attractions around the lake shore area, fields museum, shedd aquarium, navy Pier, millennium park etc. Our last stay was at the Buckingham and we will never stay anywhere but the Buckingham going forward. The views from the 40th floor where amazing! Everything we do was within walking distance. The employees where wonderful, lots of restaurants close. Was great to park my truck in the underground parking lot and not have to worry about it. You will not find a better hotel in that price range. Rooms where clean and the beds were super comfortable.

Amazing views and friendly staff! The gym was very nice if you can make it there. Also, it felt very safe with great security.

I had an incredible experience staying in a lake view room at The Buckingham Hotel in Chicago! The stunning views of the city and Lake Michigan from these rooms are truly mesmerizing, especially during sunrise and sunset. The luxurious feel of The Buckingham Hotel is apparent from the moment we step through the doors. The lobby is elegant and sophisticated, with plush furnishings and stylish decor. The room was spacious and well-appointed, with high-quality linens, modern furnishings, and all the amenities which needed for a comfortable stay. Also, this is located in a prime location in the heart of downtown, making it easily accessible to many of the city's top attractions. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

Spectacular views from the 40th floor. All rooms with floor to ceiling perfectly clear window view of The Sears Tower, er, whatever it's named now! Anyhow, the room is super comfortable and very clean. If I had just two revisions, I'd clarify the TV resolution (setting) and I'd install thermostatic valves for the hot water (investment). The shower oscillates between hot and scalding hot, kind of like a therapy of comfort/discomfort. Otherwise, highly recommended! A bit of a learning curve accessing the 40th floor but once done, easily replicated and very secure. Cheers!
