“When I returned to Chicago for the first time in a long time, I found that Lincoln Avenue was abandoned, but Rotofugi was still alive and well.This store has character products, making it feel like you're in Harajuku.There are also Hello Kitty and Japanese products, but now the store mainly sells goods made by an Italian called Tokidoki with Japanese influences.The clothes are cute too.A while ago, there was an event by an artist in New York, and I bought a painting.I hope that someday it will be as valuable as Basquiat.”

“This is a neighborhood gem! They have a variety of clothes, shoes, and toys/gifts for newborns to pre-teens. The staff are friendly, the items are well organized, and it is a fun shopping experience for adults and children. I have gone several times throughout the year for basics, outerwear, and formal clothes, and it never disappoints.”
“I have shopped here for my granddaughters for years and they always have a very large selection of education and fun toys. Gift wrapping is for free and the prices are very reasonable. “This is such a fun store!! Every single surface (excluding the walking path on the floor but including the ceiling) is covered in fun things to buy! They have rugs, cookware, art, jewelry, hats, pins, lotion, stickers, and more! It was so entertaining to take my time and walk through what used to be an old house and find so many trinkets to take home. The rugs really caught my eye! They have fair prices for the pieces they sell and unique items for everyone. I could be in there all day and still want more time to explore! It’s next to lots of food places too so you can refuel for your adventure here too. Check it out!!”
“This is the 3rd place I’ve been looking for and the closest thing I have found to my nostalgic 90’s comic book store I grew up with. A place where staff- get this actually interact with you. It’s refreshing- they have great stock, the name is badass, & the vibes are great.I love that the first time I was in the store and Wes Anderson’s, Fantastic Mr Fox was playing and the quote “But In The End, He's Just Another Dead Rat In A Garbage Pail Behind A Chinese Restaurant." was muttered in the background. I chuckled and contained on to enjoying every moment I was in there. Keep it up guys!”
“The coolest stop we made on our short trip to Chicago this time! An absolute MUST visit for anyone who loves horror.
Moses is an absolute gem human and we stayed in the shop for an hour just chatting with him. We spent money, and got some amazing stuff, but the experience we had conversing with him was the best part of our time in the city. More people should be like him in life! Horror movie knowledge and just genuine cool knowledge too.
We will definitely visit again next time we’re here!”

I confirmed the address to ship it to and that company never responded. I reached out to GIGI’s. Emailed me back quickly. Very reasonable price. Told me how to ship it. Was returned fixed to me within about a week. Was very happy with it. The doll owner is very happy as well?.”

“Very happy I discovered this shop. I have never built models before. 5 months later I am on my 4th model car from this shop. This hobby shop has 100s if not thousands of model cars, tanks, planes, ships, helicopters and more. All at reasonable prices. You can get Tamaiya and other brands of acrylic paint, brushes, and other model supplies all at affordable prices. Janice is always kind and super helpful and patient. I would recommend this shop to experienced and beginner hobbyist looking to get into it. I was never a model builder but now I am an avid enthusiast thanks to Timeless Hobby Shop!”

Make sure to stop by Cafe Jumping or Urban Treez (next door) for a latte and or meal.
Take a walk to the historical Rudy Lozano Library.
Take a drive to the National Mexican Museum and have a picnic at the park adjacent to it.”

“This place was STACKED, absolutely jammed with great stuff. I could've been in there for a longer time, but they were doing good business that day so I had to get in and out. I got way more than I thought I'd want to get. The prices are exactly what I had in mind. The owner was really friendly. Extra points (six stars, if I could) for his kindness to my dog. I just happened to be walking by and didn't have anywhere to put him and he's too little to tie up. I asked the owner if I could just hold onto my dog. The owner said yes, of course, and was super-nice and funny about it. I'll be back sans dog to spend more time in there. Thanks so much.”

“I wanted to revisit my thoughts on Play to emphasize the importance of shopping small. First and foremost, I've always had a positive experience with the staff. They are knowledgeable and genuinely helpful when you’re looking for gifts for others. Additionally, I witnessed a special moment when a delivery driver from UPS arrived. The store asked for his name, and then they gave him a small present from the owner! This kind of personal touch doesn’t happen at large retailers like Target or Walmart. I’m committed to shopping here even more from now on!”
